1. Theft Detection
Worried about losing your phone? Android 15 has new theft prevention features that make it harder for anyone to misuse your phone. Important settings like Find My Device now need your password, and if someone tries to unlock your phone too many times, it will lock down completely, making it much harder for thieves to access. It also blocks factory reset attempts unless ownership is verified, adding another layer of security.

2. Private Space for Your Sensitive Data and Apps
Android 15 introduces “Private Space” — a special area for apps and data you want to keep extra secure. It’s like having a private vault on your phone that requires a separate password to open. This is perfect for keeping your most personal apps and information safe. When Private Space is locked, the apps inside become hidden, ensuring your privacy until you decide to unlock them.

3. App Archive: Clear Space Without Uninstalling
Running low on storage? Android 15’s App Archive feature can help. You can archive apps you don’t often use directly from the settings. This frees up space without deleting your data, and you can easily restore the app later when you need it. This feature is particularly useful for rarely used apps that you don’t want to uninstall completely but need out of the way.

4. Health Connect
Android 15 is stepping up its game with improvements to Health Connect by Android. The latest update brings support for even more data types, expanding what you can track in terms of fitness, nutrition, and more. With Beta 2, you now get skin temperature readings and add training plans too. It’s all about giving users a more complete health-tracking experience.
5. New In-App Camera Controls
With Android 15, the camera experience gets better thanks to new controls for brightness and flash. Developers now have access to more camera settings like low light options with more precise flash adjustments. These new options also allow apps to enhance images in real-time providing better outcomes even when using third-party camera apps.
6. Screen Record One App Instead of Entire Screen
Android 15 introduces the ability to record a single app window instead of your entire screen. So status bar for example won’t be visible. This is great for tutorials or showing off a particular feature without revealing personal notifications or other apps. It makes screen recording more focused and private, allowing you to share what you want.

Just like screen recording above, you can also screen share just one app window instead of your entire screen. This is super handy for video calls or presentations — you get to keep the rest of your phone private and only share what’s needed. No more worrying about accidentally showing sensitive information while sharing.

8. Satellite Messaging for Zero Coverage Zones
For those times when you’re out of cell coverage, Android 15 now supports satellite messaging. This means if your phone has the right hardware, you can still send messages even in remote areas without cellular or Wi-Fi coverage. It’s a huge plus for travelers or anyone living in areas with unreliable mobile coverage.

9. App Pairs: Instant Multitasking Done Right
Multitasking just got easier with Android 15’s App Pairs. You can save your favorite split-screen combinations and open them with a single tap. This makes using two apps at the same time much faster and more convenient, perfect for multitasking without the hassle of manually setting up a split-screen each time. One example can be YouTube and Notes app to jot down recipes.

10. Always-on Taskbar for Tablets and Foldables
If you use a tablet or foldable, Android 15 has a new “Always Show Taskbar” feature. This keeps the taskbar visible at all times, making it easier to switch between apps without extra swipes. It’s a great time-saver for heavy multitaskers who frequently use multiple apps on their tablets.

For example, it will vibrate more if it’s on a soft surface and less if it’s on a hard one, making it more noticeable without being too loud. This adaptive feature ensures you never miss an important alert, regardless of your environment.

13. High-Quality Webcam Mode
Want to use your phone as a webcam? Android 15 now has a High-Quality Webcam mode that makes your video look a lot sharper. Whether you’re in a meeting or chatting with friends, you’ll look much better without needing any extra apps. When your phone is charging, it will display shortcuts to control your Google Home devices, letting you manage your smart home without even unlocking the screen. It’s a convenient way to access home automation tools quickly.

20. Predictive Back Gesture
Android 15 improves the back gesture by adding predictive visuals, showing you where you’ll go if you swipe back. This reduces accidental app exits and makes navigating your phone much easier. The improved animations also make the experience feel smoother.

25. Rich Widget Previews
Android 15 introduces rich widget previews, allowing you to get a sneak peek of a widget’s content before adding it to your home screen.
