- The latest codebase in Apple includes a reference to unreleased AirPods Pro 3.
- The new Bluetooth ID doesn’t match any existing AirPods or Beats model.
- It could be a hint at the upcoming AirPods Pro 3 or possibly a new Beats product.
AirPods are easily one of Apple’s most-loved audio products. More than half of iPhone users have been using them for years, thanks to their lightweight design, excellent call quality, and top-notch noise cancellation. With useful features packed in, they’ve become a go-to device for daily use. Now, after a long wait, signs of a next-gen version, possibly AirPods Pro 3, are surfacing through codebase leaks.

As reported by MacRumors, a new Bluetooth ID number has been discovered in Apple’s updated codebase. It points towards AirPods Pro 3 or a new Beats device. There were also rumors that the AirPods Pro 3 could be the first AirPods to feature heart rate and temperature tracking, so it will be interesting to see more about this new model.
Basically, Apple updated its device syncing code, and a new Bluetooth ID (8239) appeared. Each Apple and Beats audio device has a unique ID, but this number doesn’t match any current AirPods or Beats model.
Taking all these points into account, it hints at a new, unreleased audio product. There’s still a chance that this could be a new Beats headset instead, but we hope it is an AirPods instead. Hopefully, upcoming leaks or announcements will clear things up in the coming weeks.

What to Expect from AirPods Pro 3
While Apple hasn’t officially confirmed anything, leaks and early reports suggest some major upgrades are on the way.
Firstly, Apple may use its new H3 chip, which should offer better audio processing, more efficient power usage, and improved features like ANC and spatial audio. There is also a chance that the case will include a new U2 chip to improve Find My tracking and location accuracy.
One of the most talked-about features is the addition of health sensors. The AirPods Pro 3 could come with heart rate and temperature monitoring. We can also expect improved Active Noise Cancellation and better overall sound quality, along with updates to accessibility features like Personal Listening and Adaptive Audio.
We expect the launch could be sometime later this year, possibly alongside the next iPhone lineup. Pricing might remain close to the current Pro model, but there’s a chance it could be slightly higher if major new features are added.
That’s all we know for now, but the signs are pointing towards something new. Stay tuned for more updates.
