How to Unlock Bob’s Secret Room in Abyss
You might be thinking, “Is this really worth my time?” The answer is yes. Getting all 15 ducks unlocks Bob’s secret room, and inside you’ll find the most powerful tube and gun in Abyss. They’re actually game-changers that’ll make your deep dives and exploration way easier. Plus, collecting ducks gives you a reason to explore every corner of the map, which means you’ll discover secret caves and hidden areas you might have missed otherwise.
Before you start your duck hunt, make sure you are fully prepared. Some ducks are located over 200 meters deep in the Ocean, so you will need decent diving gear. I recommend upgrading your oxygen supply first. Also, unlock the Teleporter from the Scientist NPC so you can fast travel between biomes instead of diving across the entire map every time.
For the last few ducks, you will need to complete The Lost Captain’s quests to unlock the Angler’s Cave. Don’t worry, though. Most ducks are actually accessible early on.
All Duck Locations in Abyss

Duck Location #1
This is the easiest duck to find in the whole game. In the Forgotten Deep Dome, look for the developers’ table. Right next to it, there’s a tree. The duck is sitting on top of the branch, so you can’t miss it.
Duck Location #2
Still inside the Forgotten Deep Dome, find Billy NPC, who handles your storage upgrades. Don’t just go behind him, though. You need to actually go inside the container that’s behind him. Duck number two is chilling in there, waiting for you on top of a crate.
Duck Location #3
Look for Virelia NPC in the Forgotten Deep Dome. She’s the one who cracks your geodes to get artifacts. Go behind her position, and you’ll see a big rock right across from you. Dive up to the top of those rocks, and the duck will be sitting there.
Duck Location #4
Next, find Richard NPC (the guy who tracks all the fish you caught in the Bestiary) in the Forgotten Deep Dome and go behind him. Look across the water, and you’ll spot the Diver NPC’s submarine sitting on top of some rocks. Dive over to that spot and check behind the submarine. Your fourth duck is hiding back there.
Duck Location #5
This one takes you on a bit of a dive. Again, start from Billy’s container in the Forgotten Deep Dome, but don’t go inside his container this time. Instead, dive pretty far across the ocean until you reach a long cliff. Keep diving along the cliff edge until you reach the very end. The duck is sitting right there at the edge.
Duck Location #6
Get ready for a deep dive because this one is tough. In the Forgotten Deep Dome, there’s an NPC called Morveth who lives inside a cave about 200 meters deep in the ocean. Make sure your oxygen is upgraded before attempting this. Enter the cave and look for some rocks that go up to a platform. The sixth duck is on that platform right behind a chest.
Duck Location #7
You’re still in Morveth’s cave for this one. From the platform where you found duck number six, jump across the rocks toward the right path. You’ll see a pillar-like wall structure right beside where Morveth hangs out. Climb up those rocks, and you’ll find the duck sitting on top.
Duck Location #8
Time to head to a new biome. If you’ve unlocked the Teleporter from the Scientist NPC, fast travel to Ancient Sands and go straight to Crazy Jeff’s Store. Walk behind his desk, and you’ll find the duck sitting behind a stone pillar.
Duck Location #9
From Crazy Jeff’s store in Ancient Sands, take a right turn. Go straight until you see a house made of rock. Climb up the flight of stairs until you reach Grumpy Hank’s living area. The duck is behind the crates, right next to his sofa.
Duck Location #10
is the last duck in Ancient Sands, and it’s easy to miss. From Crazy Jeff’s store, go right and dive deep until you find the edge of the rock mountain. Now, stay on the left side and keep going until you spot a small gap entrance. It’s not obvious, so watch carefully. Enter that cave, and the duck is just sitting on the floor.

to Spirit Roots. If you use fast travel, you’ll land in the Spirit Root Hollow cave. Head to Victor NPC, who’s standing right behind the water barrier inside the cave. Look behind Victor’s symbol, and you’ll find the duck. While you’re here, don’t forget to buy the tube and gun from Victor, too. You’ll need them for your next hunt.
Duck Location #12
From the Spirit Roots fast travel point, exit the cave and turn right. Follow the path until you reach another cave entrance where you’ll find the Golem NPC. Before you finish his quest, look to the left side. The duck is sitting on the rocks close to some candles. Grab it before you complete any quests here.
Duck Location #13
This one requires some creative swimming. From the Spirit Roots fast travel point, go outside the cave, but instead of going left or right, swim straight up. Go behind the entire cave from on top of it. Keep diving straight ahead until you see a mountain of rocks. The duck should be visible there once you get close enough.
Duck Location #14
Now things get serious. You need Angler’s Cave to be unlocked first, which means completing the quests from the Lost Captain NPC. Once that’s done, the cave entrance will be right across from him. Head deep inside the cave until you find the Lightkeeper NPC. Duck number 14 is located right behind him. Only one more to go.
Duck Location #15
This is the final duck, and it’s the hardest one to get. Start from where the Lightkeeper NPC is in Angler’s Cave. Follow the path until you reach an intersection, then take the right path. Keep following it, but be super careful because there are aggressive anglerfish everywhere.
The cave gets darker and darker as you go deeper, so you really need to be prepared with good gear and maybe some health items. Keep pushing forward until you find a rock structure. The last duck is sitting there. Congratulations, you’re done!
What Happens After You Get All 15 Ducks?
Once you’ve collected all 15 rubber ducks, head straight back to Bob’s door. It is located inside the rock mountain just behind Virelia NPC. Dive there and knock on the door.
It’ll automatically unlock when you approach it. Walk inside, and you will be able to purchase the absolute best tube and gun in all of Abyss. The Bath Tube has better oxygen capacity and moves faster through water. The Plunger gun deals way more damage than anything else you’ll find in the game.
