There is a new hidden cave in Abyss, and to go inside it, you need to do some quests first. But once you get in, there's a ton of stuff to explore. Want to know what's inside? This is the complete guide on how to unlock the Gate of Elves in Abyss!
How to Unlock the Gate of Elves in Abyss
Before you can jump in, you need to talk to the Spore Guardian NPC in the Gloomspore Valley area. When you reach the big biome, dive deep inside the mountain that you can see in the middle of the area.
Go inside the entrance, and you will see the NPC in front of you. He'll hand you a quest called Feed the Guardian, which doesn't take long to finish. Here are the tasks:
- Bring 4x Boxfish
- Bring 4x Catfish
- Bring 2x Stingray
- Bring 2x Spore-mutated fish

The fish are all located in the Gloomspore Valley area, so it will be easy to finish it. Once you complete the quest, you'll earn some rewards:
- $10,000 Money
- 20x Star Shards
- 2x Basic Oxygen Pods
- Gate of Elves Badge
In addition to those, the spiral Gate of Elves behind the NPC will swing open, revealing the cave entrance right below.
What's Inside the Gate of Elves in Abyss
Here's something important: this cave is deep, and there's no teleporting out. Once you drop in, the only way to leave is by resetting your character. So make sure you're actually ready before you jump. It's also worth going during the daytime in-game if you can. The cave gets really dark further down, and when all the rocks start looking the same, navigating gets way harder than it should be. Daytime makes everything a lot easier to see.

Here are the things you can find inside the hidden cave:
1. George NPC
When you first land inside, you'll find two NPCs near the top area, one of them is George. Talk to him, and he will give you a quest:
- Bring 14x Boxfish
- Bring 10x Catfish
- Bring 7x Squid
- Bring 5x Largemouth Bass

2. Zaylen NPC
The other NPC you can find in the cave is Zaylen. He is actually the seller of the Sporelung Tube and the Sporefang Gun. The Sporelung Tube costs $425,000, and the Sporefang Gun costs you $375,000. The tube is one of three new tubes added in this update, and it comes with good stats. If your oxygen setup needs an upgrade, this alone makes the trip worth it.

3. Hidden Obby Behind a House
As you go deeper, you'll eventually come across a house. Most players walk right past it, but there's a secret path hidden behind it. Go around the back of the house, and you'll find a small obstacle course (obby) to complete.
It's not super hard, but do yourself a favor and do it during the daytime. When the cave gets dark, all the rocks blend together, and the obby becomes way more frustrating than it needs to be.
4. Zareth NPC and The Rune Gate
At the end of the obby, you'll meet an NPC called Zareth, who asks for three Angelic Runes. Hand them all over, and he'll unlock a giant gate behind him. Based on where everything else in this update is placed, the final gun is most likely sitting right behind that gate.

For now, the exact spots where the three runes are hiding haven't been fully confirmed yet, so keep your eyes open as you explore the new biome. We will update this article once we find all three runes.
Is the Cave Worth Visiting?
Yes, absolutely. Between the new tube, the gun, the hidden obby, and the mystery behind the rune gate, there's a lot packed into one area. Just remember to finish the NPC quest in Gloomspore Valley first, bring solid oxygen gear, and time your run for daytime if the dark messes with your navigation.
There's a lot down there, so take your time and don't rush past anything. For more codes and tips, you can check our dedicated Roblox Abyss wiki.
