This game has a bunch of different NPCs scattered under the water who will give you quests to complete. Each one offers different rewards like money, Star Shards, and useful items that help you dive deeper. Kraken’s Quests in Abyss
The Kraken quests are for beginners because they introduce you to different fish types and force you to buy better equipment. By the time you finish all six quests, you’ll have earned over $4,400 and 70 Star Shards total. Plus, you’ll unlock a bunch of oxygen pods that let you explore deeper areas.

Mr Black’s Quests
The quests given by Mr Black are also pretty easy to do for beginners. He is introducing you to all the fish mutations available in the game. Here are the tasks:

Scientist’s Quests
This one is an important quest you need to do in the early-game. When you complete the Scientist’s quest, you can actually unlock fast travel to go to other biomes easily.

In the Forgotten Deep Dome, you can also find Virelia standing in the middle of purple tentacles. To unlock her quests, first you need to crack Geodes. Then talk to her again to check out her quest chains:

Marcus’ Quests in Abyss
Marcus is located in the new area called theAncient Sands. He has six quests that focus on desert fish and mutated creatures. These quests get pretty challenging because you’ll need to catch specific mutated fish that only spawn in certain areas:

Marcus’s quest chain is worth completing because it rewards you with $21,150 total and 60 Star Shards. The later quests also give you potions that boost your XP and drop rates, which helps a ton when you’re grinding for rare fish.
Grumpy Hank’s Quests in Abyss
Grumpy Hank lives in Ancient Sands, too, inside a building close to Jeff’s Store. His four quests require you to catch rare fish like sharks and Ancient Sharks.

Grumpy Hank’s final quest is one of the hardest in the game. You need to catch an Ancient Shark, which is super rare and takes forever to find. But if you manage to complete all four quests, you’ll earn $38,250 and 100 Star Shards, plus an Ancient Key that unlocks a special area.
Suspicious Fisher’s Quests in Abyss
The Suspicious Fisher only has one task for you to do, which is to catch 3x Bigmouthfish. The fish can be found in the Ancient Sands, and when you complete his task, you can get 40x Star Shards as your reward.
Diver’s Quests in Abyss
The Diver hangs out inside the Ocean and has five simple delivery quests. These are super easy to complete because you just need to deliver crates to other NPCs around the map. No fishing required.

Isolde’s Quests in Abyss
Once you reach Spirit Roots, you’ll meet Isolde inside the Spirit Root Hollow cave. She has three quests that focus on mystical fish and spirit-mutated creatures.

Lumi’s Quest in Abyss
In the Spirit Root Hollow cave, you can also find a cat called Lumi. This cat NPC will only give you one quest, but the fish you need to catch are pretty hard to find. Here is the list:

Lost Captain’s Quest in Abyss
The Lost Captain can be found just deep in the ocean, sitting on top of a shipwreck. He only has one quest for you to complete, which is to reach level 35 and bring him $10,000 coins. If you have this, then talk with him again, and he will give you:

Morveth’s Quest
From the Forgotten Deep Dome, go to the edge where you can see the Diver’s submarine from above. When you see it, start diving straight until 280 meters deep. Then you will find an entrance to Morveth’s Cave. This NPC has four quests for you to complete.

Golem’s Quest in Abyss
After finding Victor, you can dive even deeper using the Oxy Tube that you buy from Lumi to find the Golem NPC. This creature will give you only one quest:

- Crack 5x Rooted Geodes
When you give back everything to Golem, you will get a massive amount of $25,000 coins, 20x Star Shards, 3x Basic Oxygen Pods, 2x Advanced Oxygen Pods, 1x Strength Potion, 1x Speed Potion, and also 2x Rooted Geodes.
Crab’s Quest
At first, we thought Crab could only say click clack in the game, but it turns out this animal is also a quest giver. So far it will give you one quest, just to open 7x Fish Ruins.
King Cat’s Quest in Abyss
King Cat is a hidden NPC found inside the Spirit Roots area. To reach him, you can go to the left path after reaching Lumi’s Shop. There will be a small gap that you should go through to reach the lair. The King Cat NPC will give you only one quest, but it’s pretty hard to do:

- 20x Golden-Mutated Fish
- 3x Bluefin Tuna
- 5x Bigmouthfish
- 20x Blackfin Tuna
- 20x Jellyfish

When you finish everything, King Cat rewards you with King’s Fortune, which is a special high-value reward given only for completing his quest.
Big Boss is found in the Valentine’s Day area north of the Forgotten Deep dome. After talking to him, the event starts with two simple fishing tasks tied to special Valentine-themed fish mutations.

Post Bird hangs out inside a hot air balloon shaped like a heart inside the Ocean. His location is just right on the left side of Big Boss. He has simple delivery quests that are super easy to complete because you just need to deliver letters to other NPCs around the map. However, his quest has a 24-hour cooldown, so you need to wait for the next day to get another quest.

After you get out of Monkey’s Lair, turn right and you will see Arthur NPC there. He will tell you that he lost his stuff because they’re being stolen by the monkey thieves. You need to find and give him back all the items for this quest:

The king will give you seven quests (which is pretty long and you will need to grind for hours for them). Completing them will give you the chance to unlock the door adjacent to his location with awesome prizes:

Completing all the NPC quests in Abyss takes a lot of time because you really need to grind hard. However, this is the fastest way to earn money, Star Shards, and upgrade your items to reach the end-game. Good luck under the water!
