Fortnite Galactic Battle season brings Star Wars content back to the island, but now it comes with a new gameplay feature: the Telephone Booth. These bright red booths let you disguise yourself as a Stormtrooper, which is not only a cool way to blend in but also important to do if you want to complete the weekly quests. This guide covers all telephone booth locations in Fortnite and explains how the disguise mechanic works.

What Are Telephone Booths in Fortnite?
Telephone booths in Fortnite are bright red structures scattered around the map that allow you to transform into a Stormtrooper temporarily. Unlike the blue booths from Creative mode (which let you change your skin), these red ones give you an Imperial disguise that actually affects the gameplay.
When disguised, you will look exactly like the First Order Stormtroopers patrolling various locations around the map. This disguise serves two important purposes in the game:
- Completing the Week 1 quest, which is “Use a Telephone Booth to don a disguise,” for 30,000 XP.
- Moving freely among Imperial Forces. When you are in disguise, Stormtrooper NPCs won’t attack you while disguised.
All Telephone Booth Locations in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3
Each telephone booth is placed strategically near Imperial locations. Here is where to find all eight spots to land:

Location | Description |
---|---|
First Order Base (North) | Just outside the north entrance, near the end of a zipline. Easy access without being spotted by enemy NPCs. |
First Order Base (South) | Outside the landmark on the south side, toward the Shining Span. |
Magic Mosses | On the road north of Magic Mosses, behind rocks near an Imperial outpost. |
Pumped Power Bridge | West of Pumped Power, behind rocks on the west side of the bridge. Near the TIE Fighter and Leia Organa. |
Canyon Crossing | Near the lake, next to a large boulder overlooking the river. |
Outlaw Oasis | Northwest of Outlaw Oasis, hidden behind rocks or trees. |
Crime City Area | South of Crime City, near the lake. |
Vader’s Samurai Solitude | Outside the mountain fortress, at the end of a zipline for another stealthy access. |
How to Use the Telephone Booths in Fortnite and Don a Disguise
Using a telephone booth in Fortnite is pretty easy:
- Approach the bright red telephone booth.
- Look for the prompt to Disguise as Imperial Stormtrooper and press your interact button.
- Watch the short animation as your character enters and exits with the disguise.

When the disguise is active, you get a few useful benefits. Stormtrooper NPCs won’t notice you at all, so you can walk right past them without a fight. Some players might also think you are just another NPC, which can help you stay hidden. Plus, if you are trying to sneak up on NPC bosses like Captain Phasma or Samurai Darth Vader, you can easily do it without fighting the guards. They will also let you grab high-tier loot in Imperial areas.
However, there are some limits to remember. If you take damage from anything, or if you hit another player or NPC, the disguise goes away instantly. You will be back to your original skin right away. So be careful!
Combining with Other Fortnite Galactic Battle Quests
You can complete the telephone booth quest while doing other tasks to save time and earn more XP. For example, the booth near Pumped Power is close to Leia Organa and a TIE Fighter that needs repairs. The booth near Masked Meadows is close to General Grievous, who needs a Jedi Padawan lightsaber. By planning your route, you can finish multiple quests in one match and level up your Battle Pass faster.
If you lose your disguise, don’t worry. You can reuse the same telephone booth or find another one in the match. Try to move like a real NPC, walk in straight lines, and make sharp turns to fool other players and stay hidden longer. If you’re trying to spot disguised players, watch for colorful back blings. Real Stormtroopers don’t wear those!
