Who Is The Traveling Merchant and What Does He Do?
As stated, the Traveling Merchant is a moving NPC in Dig. This means he is mobile, keeps moving across the map frequently, and doesn't stick around at one place for too long. Players should try to track him down since he sells a variety of goods, ranging from Shovels to general items. The Traveling Merchant is always on the move and only stays at one location for 10 minutes.
You will hear a bell chime when the Traveling Merchant changes his location in Dig. The game also shows a notification on your screen when he moves, allowing you to follow him to the next spot. When you find him, simply go near him and press the E button to open the shop and view items on sale. The Traveling Merchant carries one featured and two basic items at a time.
