The anime genre has introduced us to many amazing characters. While some faces are easily forgotten and fans move on with their lives, others leave a mark and are hard to let go of. Some anime characters are stuck in our consciousness and refuse to bid us goodbye. Here are some amazing, funny, powerful, heart-warming anime characters who deserved more screen time but didn’t. We want to see more of them, please.

10. Byung–Gyu’s (Solo Levelling)
Byung-Gyu has an upright and uncorrupted heart. An immediate fan favorite. Sung Jinwoo respected him enough not to convert him into a shadow soldier. He was an S-Rank healer, and fans felt an affinity with Byung-Gyu the moment he was introduced. He just wanted to live a normal life away from the battlefields.

Unfortunately, that earthly desire of his wasn’t fulfilled, as he ended up getting killed by Beru during the Jeju Island Arc. However, fans would always hold him in the highest regard. Even after he died, he wanted to help save Cha Hae-in.
9. Rin (Naruto)
For someone who caused the Fourth Great Ninja War in Naruto, we sure don’t know much about Rin, do we? She is wrapped in mystery, and we didn’t see her in action that much, either. However, she was a great companion and comrade, as we saw in the series, and was loyal to the village.

Fans often discuss how her character could have been used more efficiently in Naruto, or how some of her backstory discussing her upbringing and abilities would have enriched the series.
8. Shisui (Naruto)
Itachi and Shisui are the two sides of the same coin; the only difference being that one got a good amount of screen time and the other didn’t. Shisui emerged as a reckoning force among the Uchiha and had abilities that made him indispensable to the village. His abilities include Kotoamatsukami (a powerful genjutsu) and Susanoo.

Despite his decisive strengths, his exit from the show is constantly hailed as poorly written, and fans continue to miss him. The story might have been very different if he was alive, no? Another Naruto character who deserved more screen time but didn’t get it.
7. Shanks (One Piece)
While Sung Jin Woo farms aura by always showing up, Shanks is the opposite. He is known as one of the strongest pirates in One Piece, the only pirate allowed to speak to the five elders, and even stopped the war just by his appearance. His presence sends waves in the sea whenever he decides to reveal himself.

Nonetheless, he remains a riddle due to his less than 25 minutes of screentime in the canon episodes (aside from the film). Not much is known about him. Often, fans are seen vouching to the author to give him more screen time in the anime.
6. Blast (One-Punch Man)
For someone who is hailed as the world’s strongest hero, Blast gets significantly less screen time in the One-Punch Man anime series. While he protects civilians with his grunge powers, fans rarely get to see him in action against the bad guys or play a crucial role in the story.

We hope Blast gets more screen time in future anime episodes, but we doubt whether the author would be so generous to him.
5. Shoko Ieri (Jujutsu Kaisen)
While Gojo and Geto were extremely popular among the Jujutsu Kaisen anime fans, Shoko Ieri was the most underutilized character. She was a loyal friend to both Gojo and Geto and the highest-ranking medic in the Jujutsu Kaisen academy, but she still didn’t get much screen time and remained nothing more than a plot device.

Often seen in extremely rare scenes and not often mentioned in the manga, the character is deprived of screentime. Fans don’t know any major details about her abilities and backstory.
4. Annie Leonhart (Attack on Titan)
At first glance, Annie Leonhart might look like someone who was given attention and screentime, but in reality, she deserved more. Annie emerged as the main antagonist towards the end of season 1. However, her next major appearance came directly in season 4. Despite being one of the main cast members of the show, she is given little screen space.

Her childhood is explored a little, but the author doesn’t go into details as he did with Reiner, nor did she receive a proper closure to her stories like Bertholdt as her Marley compatriots did. This has left fans wanting more.
3. Katsura (Gintama)
Gintama is the sole anime series in the world that can go from life-threatening moments to people farting on each other within the next frame. One of the characters that enriches the comedic experience of the series is Katsura, who, despite his low screen time, seems to uplift the comedic aspect of the anime significantly.

Although there are various arcs in the series where he plays a crucial role (Shogun assassination arc, Farewell Shinsegumi), he never ends up as a character with a good amount of screen presence.
2. Johan (Monster)
Monster is a series that demands maturity and experience to comprehend and understand its essence. The main antagonist of the series is Johan, who would capture your attention quickly with his mysterious thinking and deep-rooted psychology.

His screen time in the entirety of the series, despite being the main character, comprises only about 30-35 minutes. However, he manages to capture hearts all over, making you wish to see him more.
1. Chad (Bleach)
Chad is a chad with well-defined muscles and calmness. We see how even Yhwach wasn’t able to make him panic. He is just a chill guy with the power to blow you across the town with one punch. Even though fans are extremely fond of him, it looks like that is not the case with the author.

Despite his strong screen presence and fan following, Chad doesn’t receive enough screen time in Bleach and rarely plays an important role. He is mostly limited to being a supporting character in major fights.
So, which anime character would you like to see more on the screen?
