Earlier this month, we had reports of Apple launching the iPhone SE 4 soon. Now, Apple CEO Tim Cook has taken to X (formerly Twitter) to tease the upcoming launch, scheduled for February 19, with the fourth-generation iPhone SE as the highlight.

In his post on X, Apple CEO Tim Cook mentioned the upcoming release, saying, “Get ready to meet the newest member of the family. Wednesday, February 19. #AppleLaunch.”
This strongly suggests a new Apple product launch on February 19, likely the iPhone SE 4, which has been rumored for the past few weeks.
It is expected to be a non-in-person launch event. The iPhone SE 4 will probably launch through a video release, similar to the iPad Pro’s announcement last year. We will likely see a pre-recorded video on the launch day, along with a press release detailing the product.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, known for breaking Apple and tech news, and who previously anticipated this month’s release for the iPhone SE 4, also reposted Tim Cook’s tweet, stating, “Tim Cook teases the new iPhone SE.”
What to Expect from the iPhone SE 4
Based on leaks, rumors, and reports, the iPhone SE 4 is expected to adopt an iPhone 14-inspired design, complete with a Dynamic Island, moving away from the traditional home button and Touch ID for a more modern look. A flat-frame design with a glossy back is also anticipated.
The iPhone SE 4 may feature a 6.1-inch OLED display with Face ID and a 2532 x 1170 resolution. It could support a peak brightness of 800 nits and a 60Hz refresh rate. A significant performance upgrade is likely, thanks to the A18 chip from the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus.

It is further anticipated to include 8GB of RAM, which is also necessary considering Apple Intelligence’s minimum requirement of 8GB as a standard. The base model is expected to start with 128GB of storage, doubling the 64GB offered on the last-generation iPhone SE.
A 48-megapixel rear camera and a 24-megapixel front camera with Face ID are also possibilities. The iPhone SE 4 will use a USB-C port instead of Lightning and could incorporate Apple’s in-house 5G modem instead of Qualcomm’s.
Additional upgrades may include a battery increase to approximately 3279mAh, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
