The wait is almost over for Arc Raiders. Embark Studios just announced at Summer Game Fest 2025 that their highly anticipated PvPvE extraction shooter will launch on October 30, 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. After years of development and multiple delays, fans finally have a concrete date to mark on their calendars.

What We Know About Arc Raiders
Arc Raiders is a third-person shooter that combines player-versus-player combat with AI enemies. Set in a post-apocalyptic world, players take on the role of “Raiders” who venture above ground to collect resources while humanity hides underground in a city called Speranza.
The game lets you play solo or team up with two other players. You’ll face both mechanical enemies and rival player squads while trying to gather loot and extract safely. The gameplay focuses on tactical decision-making – knowing when to fight, when to avoid combat, and how to manage your limited resources.
Beta Success Leads to Improvements
The game held a technical test in May that drew hundreds of thousands of players and became popular on Twitch. Executive producer Aleksander Grøndal said the test helped identify areas for improvement before the full launch.
Based on player feedback, the development team is working on bug fixes, performance improvements, and better game balance. They’re also improving the player economy and making it easier for newcomers to learn the game’s mechanics.
Arc Raiders enters a challenging genre where few games find long-term success. In recent years, the extraction shooter space has seen both major hits and failures. Embark Studios brings experience from their previous game, The Finals, and includes former DICE developers who worked on Battlefield games and the October release gives them several more months to polish the game based on beta feedback.
The game will also support Nvidia GeForce Now cloud streaming and cross-platform play between all supported systems.
