I never expected myself to spend so much time hunting down paintings in a pirate game, but Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced somehow made it surprisingly enjoyable. Most paintings are tucked away inside heavily guarded warehouses, while a few can only be purchased from merchants or collected during the main story. Better yet, these paintings don't just decorate Edward's Manor. They also become part of your overall Art Collection, alongside Art Collection Pieces and Ship Models. If you're aiming to complete every collectible in the game, you'll eventually want to collect all three categories. In this guide, I'll show you where to find every Art Collection Painting in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, along with their locations, coordinates, and the bonus loot you can expect from each warehouse.

What Are Art Collection Paintings?

Art Collection Paintings are one of several collectible categories you'll discover while exploring the Caribbean. Unlike ordinary loot, these paintings can be displayed inside Edward's Manor at Great Inagua and also count toward your overall Art Collection.

Personally, I think they're some of the most satisfying collectibles because almost every painting feels like a reward for successfully infiltrating a heavily defended warehouse. Instead of simply opening a random chest, you'll usually need to sneak past guards, steal warehouse keys, and escape without raising too much suspicion.

Even better, you'll often walk away with plenty of valuable materials and Reales at the same time.

If you're planning to upgrade the Jackdaw afterward, those extra resources will come in handy for purchasing new Jackdaw Ship Upgrades and Crafting Upgrades.

Why Should You Collect Art Collection Paintings?

Although collecting paintings isn't required to finish the main story in AC Black Flag Resynced, I'd still recommend picking them up whenever you raid a warehouse. First, every painting expands Edward's growing collection back at the Manor.

Besides decorating Edward's Manor, collecting every Art Collection Painting is essential if you're aiming to complete the Manor's entire Art Collection.

Personally, I enjoyed collecting these because warehouse raids are already some of the most rewarding activities in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced. Not only do they reward unique paintings, but they also provide Reales, trade goods, and occasionally Treasure Maps. As a result, every raid feels worthwhile even after you've claimed the painting.

Map of the World

Location: Tortuga Warehouse (848, 346)

This is usually one of the first paintings you'll come across if you're actively raiding warehouses. Besides adding Map of the World to your collection, you'll also earn a generous amount of crafting materials and Reales, making the raid well worth completing.

Location: Kingston Warehouse (601, 181)

Vanitas Still-life painting is another warehouse-exclusive painting. However, if you're interested in collecting every variant, there's also a Strange Version available from the General Store on the unmarked island in Gibara (550, 638).

An English Ship in Action With Barbary Vessels

Location: New Bone Warehouse (404, 91)

This warehouse offers one of the biggest first-time cash rewards among the painting locations. Because of that, I think it's worth prioritizing if you're also trying to earn money for ship upgrades.

Harbor Scene at Sunset

Location: Nassau Warehouse (593, 750)

Harbor Scene at Sunset is another painting that has an alternate Strange Version sold at the General Store on the unmarked island in Gibara (550, 638).

The warehouse also rewards you with a Treasure Map, making this one of my favorite raids to complete early.

Merry Company

Location: Matanza Warehouse (308, 617)

Merry Company isn't the most difficult painting to obtain, but it's another worthwhile stop if you're already clearing nearby warehouses for resources.

Nymphs by a Fountain

Location: South Kingston Warehouse (605, 156)

If you're already exploring Kingston, I highly recommend raiding the South Kingston Warehouse before moving on. Not only will you add Nymphs by a Fountain painting to your collection, but you'll also walk away with a healthy amount of crafting materials, Reales, and a Treasure Map.

Location: Havana Warehouse (205, 600)

Saint Jerome as Cardinal is found inside the Havana Warehouse painting. Like several other warehouse raids, this one also rewards a Treasure Map, making it a great stop if you're planning to collect every treasure in the Caribbean.

The Burning of the Royal James

Location: Cat Island House (706, 669)

Unlike almost every other painting in this guide, The Burning of the Royal James isn't hidden inside a warehouse.

Instead, you'll automatically collect it during the main story while exploring Cat Island House. That means you don't have to worry about missing it as long as you progress through the campaign.

Personally, I like that the game mixes story rewards with optional collectibles. It makes exploring story locations feel more rewarding instead of limiting all collectibles to side activities.

Location: Black Island Warehouse (913, 611)

The Black Island Warehouse contains one of the final paintings you'll likely collect.

Like most warehouse raids, you'll also earn a generous supply of trading goods alongside the painting, making the trip worthwhile even if you're mainly farming resources.

While collecting paintings, you'll eventually notice that two of them also have Strange Versions available for purchase.

These alternate versions do not count as separate Art Collection Paintings. Instead, they're simply collectible variants that can be bought from the General Store on the unmarked island in Gibara (550, 638).
