If you've been sailing the Caribbean in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced and think you've seen it all, wait until you run into the Legendary Ships. These are the toughest naval fights in the game, and they don't go easy on you just because you're used to sinking regular Man-o-Wars. Here's everything you need to know before you take one on.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Legendary Ships

There are four legendary ships hiding in the corners of the map in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, and each one only shows up after you've cleared out the fort guarding its region. They hit harder and have attacks that regular enemy ships just don't have. Beat them, and you'll walk away with cosmetics for the Jackdaw, a chunk of Reales, and a small trophy toward your Platinum run.

Here's where to find each one:

What to Prepare Before Fighting Legendary Ships

Don't even bother showing up under-prepared. A few things you'll want sorted first:

  • Max out the Jackdaw - Elite hull, elite broadsides, elite ram, elite swivel guns, everything elite! Some of the best upgrades come from the Ultimate Ship Plans, so track those down if you haven't already.
  • Recruit all three officers - Padre gives you a charged ram for extra speed and damage. Lucy Baldwin unlocks Perfect Brace, which is honestly a lifesaver since it cuts down damage from mortars, fire barrels, and ramming hits. Tobias "Deadman" Smith lets your broadsides fire an extra volley, which adds up fast over a long fight in AC Black Flag Resynced.

How to Beat All Legendary Ships in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced

1. HMS Prince

Black Flag Resynced Legendary Ships

Found at Navassa (854,55), HMS Prince is a good choice for your first Legendary Ship in Black Flag Resynced. It mainly attacks with long-range mortars and drops mines after disappearing into the fog during each phase.

Stay close to the ship whenever you can, since it can't use its mortars as effectively at close range. Keep firing your broadsides until about a third of its health is gone. When it disappears into the fog, be ready to brace often because it will keep firing mortars even if you can't see it.

2. La Dama Negra

This Legendary Ship is found at Serranilla (240, 72) and has heavy armor on its front and sides, so attacking there won't do much damage. Instead, sail behind it and aim for the rear, where it's much weaker.

It also uses mortars a lot, so staying close makes those attacks less effective. In the later stages of the fight, it starts dropping explosive barrels behind it, so don't chase it too closely or you'll sail right into them.

3. El Impoluto

Black Flag Resynced Legendary Ships

Sitting at Dry Tortuga (115, 842), El Impoluto is one of the toughest Legendary Ships in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced. It's faster than the Jackdaw and has a powerful ram that can deal massive damage in a single hit. It will often pull away before charging straight at you, so be ready to brace or steer out of the way.

Use Chain Shots whenever you get the chance to slow it down, then follow up with mortars and broadsides while it's vulnerable. Every time you take away about a third of its health, it will fire a long barrage of flaming cannonballs at close range, so keep bracing until the attack ends.

4. HMS Fearless & Royal Sovereign

Black Flag Resynced Legendary Ships

Located at Eleuthera (811, 858), this battle pits you against two Legendary Ships at the same time, making it the hardest fight in AC Black Flag Resynced. Don't let the ships trap you between them, or they'll hit you from both sides and destroy your hull quickly.

Focus on lowering both ships' health evenly instead of sinking one right away. If one goes down first, the other becomes much more aggressive and starts charging with powerful ramming attacks, making the rest of the fight much harder.

Legendary Ships Battle Rewards

Each battle rewards you with 12,000 Reales plus a set of cosmetics (sails, hull, wheel, and figurehead) matching that specific ship, along with a miniature ship model for your collection. Beat all four, and you'll also unlock the Devil of the Caribbean trophy, which you'll need if you're chasing the Platinum.

The battles with these Legendary Ships in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced take more patience than raw firepower, so don't be afraid to retreat, regroup, and come back with a better strategy. Once you've sunk all four, you'll have a much better-looking Jackdaw to show for it.
