Although your Android device provides a neat clock and weather widget, it misses out on 2 important things – Customization and Functionality. For instance, I cannot change the style, color, orientation of the clock, and weather widget. Additionally, you cannot map your favorite weather app, to-do list, or group events with the widget.
But, thankfully, there are 3rd party Android clock widgets that provide you a whole barrage of customizations with extra subtle functionalities like event reminders, live timer, to-do list, group events, etc. Here are the 15 best clock widgets for Android in 2020.
15 Best Clock Widgets For Android in 2020
1. Digital Clock Widget
Highlight: Custom tap to open app action
Digital Clock Widget is a Pixel-Esque clock widget. Additionally, it provides options to customize color, design, clock style, etc. My favorite option is the ability to customize the tap option. For instance, you can configure to open Spotify when you tap on the clock. It’s just a hidden way to quickly launch your favorite app.

2. Another Widget
Highlight: Additional set of customizations and the Pixel style clock widget
Similar to the Digital clock Widget, Another Widget is also a Pixel-Esque minimal clock widget. But, apart from the usual customizations, it has even more tricks up its sleeve. One of my favorite widgets on Android is “At a Glance” widget. It quickly lets you know your upcoming events on the homepage and lock screen. Another Widget takes “At a Glance” widget a step further and lets you put up currently playing songs, custom notes, step count on it.
In case you have a Pixel or stock Android device, Another Widget is a must-have clock widget.

Unlike Chronos and Transparent Clock, Overdrop is a dedicated weather app. It pulls up data from the popular local weather source Dark Sky. Apart from the weather information, there’s the weather forecast and weather radar as well. The widget option in Overdrop, however, is paid at $9/year. But, you do get 51 clock and weather widgets.

9. 8-bit Command Window
Highlight: 8-bit and maps to phone, twitter, google apps.
The 8-bit command window is a good-old 8-bit clock widget app. Along with the clock widgets, it also provides you the option to display messages or quickly launch a few apps from the widget. More than 8-bit games, the widget reminds me of the DOS terminal. The only caveat with the app is the lack of resizing options for the widgets and since the last update was in 2014, you have to live with this caveat.

10. Digital Clock Widget Xperia
Highlight: Xperia style clock widget and weather information from Yahoo.com
My first Android device was the Xperia Miro and I loved it because of the vibrant home screen. Digital Clock Widget tries to bring the same vibrancy with the old-school Xperia clock widgets. One of my favorite features is the weather option. If you tap on the weather information, instead of taking you into an app, it opens a pop-up showing the weather forecast of the entire week.
