Best WearOS Games
1. 2048
2048 is really the Tetris of our time, there is one version for almost every platform including WearOS. For the uninitiated, 2048 is a simple addition game where your aim is to reach the tile 2048 by merging tiles. You begin with tiles valued 2 and then keep merging identical tiles to form the tile with twice the value. It is a no brainer for a casual game for WearOS.

2. Cosmo Run
Next, we have Cosmo Run, another casual arcade game which would keep your eyes glued to the tiny screen. Your aim is to move the ball on a ramp suspended in the space and avoid falling off the ramp. The controls are simple, the ball would move forward until you tap the screen to make a turn. Don’t worry, the game decides which way to make the ball turn, you just focus on your timing and shoot for the high score.

3. 3 to 9
3 to 9 is slightly different from the original cross and hole design, it uses circles of different color but that’s it everything else is exactly the same. You can play this against a person or the Computer.

4. Dices
Dice are the most difficult to replace item out of all the pieces in a board game. This app can be the perfect replacement for the physical dice next time you decide to pull out the old board games from the closet. You can roll up to five dice at once and the app would also tell you the sum of all the dice, just don’t lose the watch or it’ll be very ironic.

5. Rontivity
Rontivity is another simple looking but incredibly difficult to master the game. It has simple gameplay, you tap on the screen to move the ball away from obstacles. The game takes advantage of the circular screen of the Watch and looks neat. Don’t let the looks deceive you, it gets frustrating really fast when you die repeatedly. The obstacles randomly pop up in your path and the games intentional response time makes it even harder to master. If you have the might to take on this beast and create the highest score, the link’s right there.

6. Infinity Loop
After pulling out your hairs after 398 sessions of Rontivity, you would look for a mellow game and Infinity Loop would suit you really well. Your aim is to rearrange the pieces on the screen to make a figure. On a first glance, you would think the pieces are already aligned and make a familiar shape but you’d be often surprised how the actual result turns out. The game levels are well thought out and do their best to amaze you on each level.

7. Circle Pong
Next, we have Circle Pong where you have to keep the ping pong ball bouncing within the watch perimeter. I really liked how well Galaxy Watch utilized the bezels as a controller and wished for a day when it would run WearOS. Anyway, you control the ramp by tapping and holding the screen. When you tap the ramp moves around and you have to catch up to the ball before it is out of bounds. Go play and see how high can you score, my best is a hundred.

8. Color Pong
Color Pong takes the previous game to whole another level. Instead of one small ramp, you get 4 which cover 1/4th of the perimeter. Your objective is to keep the ball within the perimeter but the ball can only bounce back from the same colored ramp and after every bounce, the ball changes color. Challenging enough?

9. Infinity Runner Pro
Infinity runner Pro shares design and mechanics with Cosmic Run on Number 2 in this list. It has similar gameplay except for a few minor changes. For example, you get a wider ramp to roll your ball but you also get spikes every now and then which adds to the difficulty. You can collect gems which would let you buy items like a white ball, black ball, box, fireball, tornado, etc.

10. PetQuest
Remember Tamagotchis? You do? When was the last time you fed them? I can see the guilt building up due to neglect towards that digital pet of yours and you can fix this with PetQuest. It is a pixel-style adventure game for WearOS. You can play with your digital pets, feed them, make them learn new tricks, grow food, go on quests, etc. You can go on adventures together, find collectibles, battle evil creatures and collect items for the garden. Plus the sounds they make in the game are too cute to resist.

11. Slab Builder
You’re the crane worker at a construction site and your job is to unload and stack slabs of marble on the floor. If you’ve never worked with marble then you should know that it is fragile and heavy. When you drop it anywhere but the center of the previous slab, it is going to break apart from sides. It gets more difficult as the top marble slab becomes smaller. Your aim in this game is to stack the highest number of slabs until you can no longer stack the slabs.

12. Snake
There have been so many versions of the classic Snake game but most games seem to miss one element of the original Nokia Snake Game. The borders were never solid and you could just pass through one side and appear on the opposite side without dying and I’m glad this game retains this feature. You control the snake direction by tapping on either side of the screen to make it turn. The objective is the same as all the other snake games, eat and grow until you bite into yourself.

13. Sudoku
A regular 9×9 sudoku board would be impossible to play on the tiny screen of the Android Watch but a 4×4 can be pulled off. This version of Sudoku gives you a 4×4 board where you have to fill the black blocks. It is very easy so you can play it as a game where you solve the board in the least amount of time. Want to give it a try?

14. T.Rex Runner
We’re all familiar with the Chrome T.Rex and the hidden game which keeps us occupied until the internet comes back. Well, the game took off and now people would kill their connection to play the game. You don’t have to do any of that and can just install this game on the WearOS watch and play it whenever. The dev didn’t just copy the Chrome code but implemented his own elements as well. Instead of a black and white interface, this game has a colored world and a few different types of obstacles. Check it out.

15. Touch Round
The title sums up the entire game pretty well actually, Touch Round lets you play as a drift racer trying to master the skill of drifting on a circular track. Your objective is to complete the maximum number of laps without hitting the boundaries of the track. You tap the screen to start drifting and release to go straight. Just like in real life, it would take some practice to get used to the flow.

16. Variable Gravity
You’re stranded on a deserted planet which is full of deadly creatures. You die even if the creatures touch you and you can’t kill them. Your objective is to keep running and jumping over the creatures and survive. Also, the gravity keeps on changing which means sometimes your jumps would take more time so you would have to time that accordingly.

17. Wear Maze
This maze game is quite innovative and takes advantage of the inbuilt motion sensor to control the ball. You have to take the ball and traverse it around the maze and pot it in the exit hole. You would have to tilt the watch and let gravity do the job. However, to make things interesting, you only see a portion of the maze so you would have to memorize the entire path to win the level. I can vouch for the game and it is very addictive.

18. Galaxia
You’ll love this next game if you’re a sucker of nostalgia and old console games. Galaxia is inspired by Space Invaders with a few design changes to fit the game on your wrist. Defeat the Alien Fleet trying to attack your planet, you can control your ship either the screen, dial, or motion sensor. Just a heads up, some Alien ships are more stubborn and would take longer to die than the rest. Happy Gaming!
