Bite by Night is a Roblox killer game that just came out, and if you are new to this type of game, there is a lot to learn at first. With this Bite by Night Beginner's guide, I will show you all the survivor classes, killers, and their abilities, how objectives work, and what you need to know to stay alive in your first few matches. Check them out!
Bite by Night Beginner's Guide
When you join a match, you're randomly assigned a role. You'll either be a survivor or a killer. Most of the time, you'll end up as a survivor since the chance of becoming the killer is pretty low unless you have a Premium Pass.
Every match runs until 6 AM. But even when the timer hits 6 AM, you don't automatically win. An exit will appear somewhere on the map, and you still need to reach it to actually escape. That's all you need to know for when you just log into the game. Now let's see all the features.
1. Survivor Classes in Bite by Night
There are four survivor classes in Bite by Night right now. All survivors start with the same base stats:
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| Health | 100 HP |
| Walk Speed | 12 |
| Sprint Speed | 24 |
| Stamina | 100 |

- The Customer is the free starter class and easy to use, with a pizza that heals based on your HP and a drink that lets you sprint longer but slows you down after.
- The Medic focuses on healing teammates, with a med pack that can even give extra armor and a self-heal that requires you to stay still.
- The Fighter is the only class that can fight back, using an axe, a stun to stop the killer, and a parry to block attacks.
- The Security Guard helps the team with info, using a taser to slow the killer and cameras to track and reveal their location to others.
2. Killers in Bite by Night
There are three killers in Bite by Night right now. Here are the details of their abilities:
Springtrap

| Ability | Description |
|---|---|
| M1 Swing (with axe) | 36 damage |
| M1 Swing (without axe) | 28 damage |
| Remnant Cleaver | Makes the axe throwable. |
| Bear Trap | Places a trap that immobilizes survivors and cuts off looping paths. Locked when the axe is equipped. |
| Scream | Reveals and blinds all survivors. Drains stamina while active. |
| Charge | Charge ability. Make sure you have enough stamina before using it. |
Mimic

| Ability | Description |
|---|---|
| M1 Swing | 42 damage |
| Mode Switcher | Switch between Strength, Speed, and Stealth modes. |
| Grab (Stealth) | Grab a survivor and hold them for up to 7 seconds. Press again to deal damage or throw them, which can stun others nearby. |
| Tunneling (Stealth) | Drill underground for more speed. Pressing again creates a red circle that stuns survivors inside it. |
Ennard

| Ability | Description |
|---|---|
| M1 Swing | 38 damage |
| Wire Eyes | Sends out wire minions that follow survivors. If they latch on, they highlight the survivor. |
| Grab | Extends Ennard's arm. If it connects with a survivor, it drags them toward Ennard. |
| Skin Stealer | Lets Ennard disguise as a dead player's corpse. You can only pick from players you killed or yourself. |
| Stab (Disguise only) | Lunges forward and deals 45 damage if it connects. |
| Explode (Disguise only) | Bursts out of the disguise, dealing 25 AoE damage and stunning nearby survivors. |
3. Objectives
There are two types of objectives in Bite by Night:

Generators
Generators work similarly to the ones in Forsaken, but with a bit more going on. To complete one:
- Press F to start the generator.
- Connect the plugs by matching the correct wire colors.
- Flip all five switches on the left side to the on position.
- Pull the lever to finish the interaction.

You need to complete this process four times per generator. So, try to have your teammates help to speed things up significantly.
Batteries
Batteries work differently from generators. Here's how they work:
- Find a battery canister on the map and hold T to pick it up.
- Then hold F to highlight a section of the map as the delivery point.
- Go to the highlighted area and press T again to deliver it.

While carrying a battery, you cannot sprint or use abilities. If you hear the killer nearby, press X to drop it and run. Don't get caught holding it.
4. Key Controls
| Action | Button |
|---|---|
| Start/Interact with the objective | F |
| Drop battery | X |
| Barricade door | Hold F near the door |
5. The Barricade System
The barricade is one of the most important mechanics in the game. When you see a single door, you can hold F to start barricading it. Once you do, you enter a minigame where you need to keep your cursor in the center to hold the door shut.
If the killer attacks the door, there will be a white bar popping up. When it starts disappearing, move your cursor back to the center. If the bar drops below halfway, the door breaks, and you get stunned for around two seconds. Use barricades to recover stamina during a chase. It buys you time, and if your medic is behind the door, they can self-heal safely while you hold it.
6. The Lobby and Store
When you're waiting between matches or after dying, you land in the lobby. There's a snake minigame to pass the time. You can also check your Agony stat here, which goes up as you complete objectives.
Other things you can check in the lobby are:
- The Store where you buy new killers, survivor skins, and emotes using either in-game currency or Robux.
- The Robux shop, which has game passes, including one that increases your chances of being the killer.
- Settings to adjust everything based on your preferences.
- Your inventory, which shows everything you've unlocked so far.
- Spectate if you want to watch other players playing.

That's the end of our Bite by Night beginner's guide. This game is still brand new, and there's a lot more to figure out as more people play. But if you go in knowing your class, understanding the objectives, and communicating with your team, you'll already be ahead of most players.
