The Rotten (Springtrap)

The Rotten in Bite by Night

As the description for The Rotten suggests, this killer is a great for trapping and rushing the survivors. Here are all of The Rotten's abilities:

  • Swing
    • Keybind: LMB
    • Cooldown: 2.4 seconds
    • Details:
      • Deals 34 DMG with an axe or 28 DMG with fists.
      • The axe has a wider hitbox with a slower attack duration. This attack provides no speed boost.
      • Rotten's fists have a smaller hitbox with a faster attack duration. This attack will also provide the Rotten with a slight speed boost.
  • Remnant Cleaver
    • Keybind: Q
    • Cooldown: 8 seconds (after retrieving axe)
    • Details:
      • Throws axe to deal 20 DMG
      • Applies Bleed and Slowness to the Survivor, dealing 15 DMG over time.
      • Axe can be retrieved manually if missed.
      • Without the axe, The Rotten gains a slight speed boost at the cost of damage and stamina. The Beartrap ability is also replaced with Scream and Charge.

      • Deploys roaming Wire Eyes for up to 40 seconds. They can latch onto nearby survivors and apply slow, blindness, and damage over time. They will also reveal the target's location. Survivors can remove the wire eyes by shaking the camera. On removal, they will explode and deal 10–15 DMG.

      • Fires a wire to pull a survivor. Drags target into melee range. You can follow up with an attack.
  • Skin Stealer

      • Transform into avatars of eliminated survivors. You can mimic appearance, emotes, and items.
      • Gains default survivor movement stats. Disguise lasts for a duration before exploding. You can reuse unlocked disguises.

  • Use Scream before engaging to blind survivors and secure hits.

The Mistake Tips

  • Switch to Speed Mode when chasing to quickly close gaps.
  • Use Stealth Mode to ambush survivors working on objectives.
  • Rotate modes constantly depending on the situation. Do not stay in one mode too long.
  • Open fights with Stealth, then swap to Speed for cleanup.

The Doppelganger Tips
