Break a Lucky Block has several Sammy variants that appear throughout the game. Some are just annoying obstacles, while others are actual bosses you can fight for special rewards. Each one works differently, and knowing what they do helps you plan your farming strategy better. Let me walk you through all the Boss NPCs in Break a Lucky Block.

Table of Contents
1. Normal Giant Sammy
This is the regular Sammy you’ll see patrolling the Lucky Block field every single round. He’s basically a guard who stops you from taking the brainrots back to your base without any consequences. When Sammy catches you holding a brainrot, he won’t kill you. Instead, he just smacks you and pushes you far away from the area.

The annoying part is that he wastes your time. If you’re in the middle of going back to your base with a good brainrot, and he shows up, you’ll get knocked back and have to run all the way back again. Trying to do it before your brainrot timer runs out. The smart move is to watch his patrol pattern and wait for him to walk away before you start mining. If he starts walking toward you while you’re breaking a block, just back off immediately and wait until he leaves.
Playing on public servers actually makes dealing with Normal Sammy easier. When there are multiple players around, Sammy gets distracted by other people. While he’s chasing someone else, you can quickly break blocks and grab your loot without worrying about him.
2. Hacker Sammy
The Hacker Sammy event is one of the best times to farm special brainrots in the game. This event starts every 30 minutes on the server and lasts for exactly 30 minutes. When it begins, the normal Sammy transforms into a hacker version wearing a black hoodie and a white mask. You’ll see him typing on a computer with glitchy numbers and codes floating around.

During this event, a special area spawns at the back of the play zone. This area is covered by a neon glitchy net, and some lucky blocks inside get Glitch effects. When you break these Glitch-affected blocks, they’re guaranteed to drop Hacker-mutated brainrots instead of normal ones. These Hacker brainrots are worth a lot more cash than regular brainrots.

Even though normal Sammy disappears during this event, the hacker version will chase you even faster if you’re carrying brainrots. If the hacker starts following you, just drop the brainrot temporarily and let him move away. Once he’s distracted by another player, pick up your brainrot again and continue to the Safe Zone. Try to grab as many Hacker brainrots as possible during the 30-minute window.
3. Pirate Sammy
The Pirate Sammy is one of the NPCs in Break a Lucky Block, and he comes with a whole cinematic introduction. Sammy was digging around and found a treasure chest, but before anyone could see what was inside, a pirate showed up and literally kicked Sammy into the ocean. The pirate completely took over after that.

When this event is active, a massive pirate ship appears in the sky and circles around the entire map. The ship constantly shoots cannonballs down at players. Again, these cannonballs don’t kill you or deal heavy damage, but they knock you around while you’re trying to break lucky blocks or carrying brainrots to the safe zone. This makes the event pretty chaotic, especially if you’re trying to farm efficiently.

The main reason to participate in this event is the Hex trait. This trait has a 6x income multiplier. You can tell which blocks have it by looking for the green skull icon floating above them. If you spot one, break it immediately before someone else gets to it.
4. Heartbreaker Sammy (Boss Fight)
Heartbreaker Sammy is an actual boss fight you can participate in with other players. He appears above the normal lucky block area, and you will get a notification that says, “Defeat Heartbreaker Sammy!” when he shows up. You will see a dark angel character with purple and black visual effects fighting against Cupid Sammy in the air. It looks really dramatic.

To join the fight, jump into the air near the boss. Your character will automatically start floating, which is completely different from regular gameplay. Once you are floating, swing your pickaxe to hit Heartbreaker Sammy. Every hit deals exactly 1 damage, no matter what pickaxe you’re using. Since the boss has 150 HP, you and everyone on the server need to land 150 hits total to defeat him.
When you finally defeat Heartbreaker Sammy, it will trigger a temporary global mutation event that affects the entire server. You’ll see lots of lucky blocks across the map suddenly get the Heartbreak trait, which gives you a 7x income multiplier.
5. Cupid Sammy
This is an NPC that only appears during the Valentine’s event when Heartbreaker Sammy is also present. He’s not a boss you fight directly. Instead, he helps you fight against Heartbreaker Sammy by shooting arrows at the boss.

The annoying part about Cupid Sammy is that his arrows don’t just hit the boss. They also fly down to the ground, and if one of these arrows hits you, you’ll get launched really far away. This can be frustrating if you’re trying to break blocks or position yourself for the boss fight. You just need to be aware of where the arrows are falling and dodge them when possible.
Even though Cupid Sammy can be a bit annoying with his arrows, you still need him because he helps defeat Heartbreaker Sammy faster. After you defeat the boss with Cupid’s help, Cupid Sammy triggers the Love trait to appear on lucky blocks. This trait has a 5x income multiplier, which is still very good for farming cash.
6. The King
To defeat the King in Break a Lucky Block, you must complete several phases without using your flying gear (if you have one). When you see this boss spawn on the map, you have to first cross the lava by jumping across lucky blocks and destroy the first power core within 10 seconds. Next, survive the laser-filled floor by carefully moving through the beams to break the second power core located at the same place, near the throne.

After that, meteors begin falling, turning blocks into Royal trait blocks with a 7x income boost. Use this time to grind blocks while avoiding direct meteor hits. A third power core will then spawn in the middle of the map. Break it to trigger the Cannon Charge Machine.
Once the cannon machine appears, break 75 lucky blocks to charge it and free Sammy. After he’s released, continue breaking blocks to fire the cannon five times and drain the King’s 100 HP. During this final phase, avoid raining lasers, guards, and force-lift attacks while charging the cannon as quickly as possible. When the King is defeated, the map returns to normal, the area remains open for the full 60 minutes, and all blocks receive the Royal trait as a reward.
