The King event is one of the biggest boss events in Break a Lucky Block. He shows up for a full hour, and unlike the other boss, you need to defeat him yourself. The fight has four phases, and each one is different from the last. If you want to defeat him and grab the Royal trait on your brainrots, here is everything you need to know.

How to Defeat The King in Break a Lucky Block
Be prepared! The King Boss NPC is a solo fight. The main way you deal damage here is by breaking lucky blocks to charge up the cannon machine. Once the cannon machine is fully charged, it will fire and take a chunk off the King’s HP.
The King will have 100 HP, and each cannon shot deals 20 damage, which means you need to fire the cannon exactly 5 times to bring him all the way down. He will try to stop you the whole time by sending lasers, calling in guards, and lifting players into the air.
Break a Lucky Block The King Fight Phases
You will need to navigate carefully on your own without relying on flying gear for the early part of the fight.
Phase 1: Cross the Lava
When the King arrives, the map changes completely. The floor fills up with lava, and the King sits up on his huge throne above you. He also locks Sammy in a cage right away, and your first goal is to free him.

To start, you need to make your way across the lava to reach the King’s platform. Any of your flying gear will be disabled here, so you cannot fly over it. Jump carefully on top of the lucky blocks and do not rush. Once you reach the throne, find the first power core and break it with your pickaxe.

There is a 10-second countdown timer on the power core, so you need to destroy it before the timer hits zero or you get thrown back and have to try again. Once you break it in time, the King says, “You passed the first test.”

Phase 2: Navigate the Laser Obby
You think it’s done? Nope! The next obstacle comes, and now the floor is filled with laser shooting from wall to wall. Again, you need to physically jump and move through the lasers without touching them to reach the second power core. If you touch the laser, you will be sent back again to the safe zone. When you break the second power core open, the King will say, “You persist. How disappointing!”

Then you will be thrown back again to the middle of the map. The King suddenly says, “The heavens themselves answer to me,” followed by meteors falling from the sky. Any lucky block that gets hit by a meteor will receive the Royal trait, which gives a 7x income multiplier to your brainrots.

This is your best window to grind for King trait blocks, so start breaking as many meteor-hit blocks as you can. Just watch out because if a meteor hits you directly, it will send you flying far away from where you are standing.
Phase 3: Third Power Core and Charging the Cannon
After a few minutes of meteor grinding, the King suddenly says, “Behold your extinction,” and the floor floods with even more Royal trait blocks. A third power core also spawns on the floor during this phase. Break it to keep moving forward toward freeing Sammy.

After the third core is broken, the Cannon Charge Machine appears around the map. You need to break 75 lucky blocks to fuel it fully. It does not matter what type of block you break, either. You just smash anything you can find. Once the first bar is full, the cannon fires straight at Sammy’s cage and frees him.

Now the King finally has his lucky block with 100 HP. The more players breaking blocks at the same time, the faster he will be defeated. Remember, you need to fire the cannon 5 times to deplete the HP fully.
Phase 4: King Rage and Final Fight
Once Sammy is free, the King goes into full rage mode. Here is what he does during this phase:
| King Attack | What It Does |
|---|---|
| Lasers from above | Rains lasers down on the map, avoid them |
| Spawns guards | Sends guards out to slow players down |
| Force lifts players | Picks up players and holds them in the air |
So, adding to the chaos of breaking lucky blocks to charge the cannon, you also have to avoid lasers and meteors charged by the guards from above. Sammy will keep spawning more blocks around the map, though, to help you charge faster, so just keep grinding, and the cannon will handle the rest.
Once the King is defeated, he flies across the map, complaining about everything you did before crashing to the ground. After that, the map returns to normal. Even if you defeat the King, the area stays open until the 60-minute timer is finished, so other players can finish the fight. As a reward, all blocks receive the Royal trait upon victory.
How to Get the Royal Trait in Break a Lucky Block
The Royal trait is what most players are after in this event. You get it during Phase 2 when meteors fall and strike lucky blocks on the ground. Any block hit by a meteor automatically gets the Royal trait on it. The more blocks you break during this phase, the better your chances of collecting Royal trait blocks.
During Phase 3, the floor also fills up with Royal trait blocks right before the cannon machines spawn, giving you another solid window to grab more before the final phase kicks off.
Note that after defeating the King, the game is supposed to give all lucky blocks the Royal trait as a bonus reward. However, this has been reported as buggy, so the meteor phase in Phase 2 and the floor flood in Phase 3 are currently the most reliable ways to get the trait.
No one expected the boss fight to be this hard in Break a Lucky Block. However, it’s the most exciting event the game has so far. It has a timer challenge, a laser obby, meteors, a cannon, and a full rage phase all packed into one server event. As long as you watch the power core timer, navigate the lasers carefully, and keep breaking blocks for the cannon, you will get through it just fine. Jump in the next time the King in Break a Lucky Block shows up and give it a shot. For more tips, codes, and game information, check out our Break a Lucky Block wiki.
