Cantarella has arrived in Wuthering Waves version 2.2 as a new 5-star Havoc Rectifier character. She works as a flexible sub-DPS who can provide healing and support to your team. In this guide, I’ll cover everything you need to know about building and playing Cantarella effectively.

Cantarella Build Wuthering Waves

Cantarella Overview

Cantarella is the 36th head of the Fisalia family in Rinascita. She uses a Rectifier weapon and has Havoc element abilities. Unlike pure healers like Verina or Shorekeeper, Cantarella is more of a hybrid character who provides both healing and damage. She excels at providing off-field damage through coordinated attacks while also offering healing and buffs to teammates.

How Cantarella’s Kit Works

Wuthering Waves cantrella skills

Cantarella’s gameplay revolves around two special resources: Trance and Shiver. She can hold up to 5 Trance stacks, which you gain from hitting with basic attacks, using Resonance Skill, Intro Skill, and Liberation. With at least 1 Trance, holding the basic attack key lets you perform a Special Charged Attack (Delusive Dive) to enter Mirage state.

When in Mirage state, Cantarella basic attacks become Enhanced Basic Attacks (Phantom Sting), and her Resonance Skill transforms into Flickering Reverie. Using Flickering Reverie puts enemies in Hazy Dream state, slowing their movement and setting them up for Jolt damage.

Each Enhanced Basic Attack in Mirage state consumes 1 Trance and generates 1 Shiver. Every Shiver generated heals nearby team members, making her effective at providing sustain. You can hold a maximum of 3 Shivers, and when you reach this cap, your Resonance Skill transforms into Perception Drain.

Perception Drain is a powerful skill that deals damage, puts enemies in Hazy Dream state, and has an 18-second cooldown. This skill forms the core of Cantarella’s damage potential and should be used whenever available during her rotation.

Her Outro Skill grants the next character a 20% Havoc damage boost and a 25% Resonance Skill damage buff, making her an excellent support for main DPS characters.

Augment
Augment (4★)
413 ATK, 20.3% CRIT RateIncreases ATK after using Resonance Liberation
  • Whispers of Sirens is Cantarella’s signature weapon and works perfectly with her kit. When she uses her Intro Skill or Basic Attacks followed by an Echo Skill, she gains stacks that boost her Basic Attack DMG and allow her to ignore a percentage of enemy Havoc resistance. The main drawback is that the buff disappears if you switch characters, making it somewhat restrictive for team rotations.
  • Stringmaster is an excellent alternative since Cantarella’s Resonance Skills benefit fully from its passive, giving her a significant ATK boost.
  • Rime-Draped Sprouts provides a good Basic Attack DMG bonus but is slightly less effective because Perception Drain doesn’t trigger its stacks.
  • Cosmic Ripples helps with energy regeneration while also boosting Basic Attack damage, making it a solid standard option.
  • For players without 5-star weapons, Augment from is a decent placeholder that boosts ATK after using Resonance Liberation.

  • Moonlit Clouds is ideal for a support-oriented Cantarella when paired with characters like Jinhsi. This set increases Energy Regeneration and boosts the ATK of the next Resonator after using Outro Skill.
  • Midnight Veil works best for Havoc teams, especially when Cantarella is paired with characters like Roccia, Danjin, or Rover. This set increases Havoc DMG and grants the incoming Resonator 15% Havoc DMG Bonus after using Outro Skill.
  • Sun-sinking Eclipse is for players who want to use Cantarella as their main DPS, particularly in teams with high Resonance Chains. This set provides stacking Havoc DMG bonuses after using Basic or Heavy Attacks.

Best Teams for Cantarella

Team TypeTeam Composition
Jinhsi TeamJinhsi (Main DPS), Cantarella (Sub-DPS), Verina/Shorekeeper (Healer)
Mono HavocCamellya (Main DPS), Roccia (Sub-DPS), Cantarella (Sub-DPS)
HypercarryCantarella (Main DPS), Sanhua/Roccia (Support), Shorekeeper (Healer)

The Jinhsi team is highly recommended in the current version. Cantarella helps Jinhsi accumulate Incandescence stacks with her coordinated attacks, while Jinhsi provides powerful Spectro DPS. The healer slot can be filled by either Verina for additional ATK buffs or Shorekeeper for more sustain and critical damage bonuses.

Cantarella Build Wuthering Waves

Cantarella is a versatile character who works well in many team compositions. She provides both damage and healing support, making her valuable for players who need a flexible sub-DPS. Her kit synergizes especially well with Jinhsi teams, but she can fit into many different team setups.

Build her according to your team needs – use Moonlit Clouds for pure support, Midnight Veil for Havoc teams, or Sun-sinking Eclipse if you want her as your main damage dealer. With the right build and team, Cantarella can be a powerful addition to your roster in Wuthering Waves.
