New Key Visual: Denji vs. Bomb Girl

The latest key visual for Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc shows Denji and Reze clashing mid-air, capturing the intensity of their battle. Both characters appear in their devil hybrid forms: Denji as Chainsaw Man and Reze as the Bomb Devil.

Behind them is a striking red-toned background featuring key supporting characters who will appear in the film. We see Makima, Aki Hayakawa, Kobeni Higashiyama, Beam, Galgali, Kishibe, and Angel Devil. The visual also includes a contrasting scene of Denji and Reze holding hands, both shaded in blue, standing out against the red backdrop.

The image highlights the central theme of duality between Denji and Reze. Both are hybrids, both tools of powerful forces, and both searching for something beyond the roles they’ve been given.

Global Release Schedule

Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc will be released in Japan on September 19, 2025, by Toho. Sony Pictures Entertainment will handle the global release in over 80 countries starting September 24. Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc is set to open in the U.S. on October 29, providing international fans an opportunity to see this arc on the big screen.

With MAPPA’s high-quality animation and the emotional resonance of Reze’s storyline, this film is being hyped by fans all over the world. The Reze Arc delivers everything Chainsaw Man is known for: high-paced action sequences, complex characters and heartbreaking outcomes.

Production and Voice Cast

The movie is being directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara, known for his work on Black Clover and Chainsaw Man. Screenwriter Hiroshi Seko, character designer Kazutaka Sugiyama, and composer Kensuke Ushio also return from the anime’s first season.

Kikunosuke Toya returns to voice Denji, and Reina Ueda appears in the cast as Reze. Other cast members include Fairouz Ai as Power, Tomori Kusunoki as Makima, Shogo Sakata as Aki, and Shiori Izawa as Pochita. Supporting actors Kobeni, Angel Devil, and Beam will also appear.

The Reze Arc: What the Movie Will Cover

The film takes the “Bomb Girl” storyline from the manga. It continues Denji following his fight with Katana Man and explores his growing desire for a better life. When he meets Reze, a sweet and amiable girl serving at a coffee shop, Denji is attracted to her innocence and kindness.

But Reze is not what she appears to be. She’s a foreign assassin, trained to kill Denji and steal Chainsaw Man’s heart. While the two of them are out on a date, Reze reveals she is a hybrid as well and becomes the Bomb Devil. The arc is a fan favorite for its heavy fight scenes and its character interactions.

What Is Chainsaw Man About

Chainsaw Man is a dark fantasy action series created by Tatsuki Fujimoto. The protagonist of the story is Denji, a teenage devil hunter living in poverty with a massive debt. He battles devils to settle the debt of his late father, with the help of his pet devil, Pochita. Denji was betrayed and murdered. But, upon joining Pochita, he was reborn as Chainsaw Man, a half-devil hybrid with chainsaws on his body.

From there, Denji is recruited into Public Safety, a government agency that hunts devils. Surrounded by violent devils, complex allies, and manipulative superiors, Denji’s journey is a mix of brutal battles, emotional trauma, and the desperate hope to live a better life. The first season of the anime was a resounding success, with the animation quality and the absurdness of the series making it an instant fan favorite.

But will the movie live up to the hype?
