The highly anticipated Chainsaw Man the Movie: Reze Arc is back in the spotlight, thanks to a new trailer that went live during MAPPA’s panel at Anime Expo 2025. Held on July 3 at Petree Hall, the event saw studio president Manabu Otsuka and vice president Hiroya Hasegawa reveal a powerful preview that shows Denji’s most intense and emotional arc yet.
Trailer Focuses on Romance, Action, and Betrayal
This new trailer highlights Denji’s growing emotional conflict between Makima and Reze. Despite being attached to Makima, Denji is helplessly drawn to Reze following a chance encounter on a rainy afternoon. Flirty exchanges, stolen kisses, and playful date scenes show Chainsaw Man’s softer side before everything turns into complete chaos.
Once the action kicks in, it does not let up. Explosive scenes with the Bomb Devil, Typhoon Devil, and Chainsaw Man himself rage on screen, all to Kenshi Yonezu’s powerful new theme song, IRIS OUT.
The film adapts the hit Bomb Girl Arc (also known as Reze Arc) of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s manga. It was initially serialized from 2018 to 2020 in Weekly Shonen Jump and is currently still ongoing in Shonen Jump+ since 2022. The emphasis is on Denji’s increasing relationship with Reze, a seemingly innocent café worker with motives far from pure.
Official Worldwide Release Dates
MAPPA officially announced Chainsaw Man the Movie: Reze Arc will be released in Japanese theaters on September 19, 2025. That will be followed by a worldwide release in more than 80 countries on September 24. The USA and UK fans will see it land in theaters on October 29, just in time for a Halloween season fright.

Cast and Crew Information Revealed
The previous cast includes Kikunosuke Toya as Denji, Reina Ueda as Reze, Tomori Kusunoki as Makima, Shogo Sakata as Aki Hayakawa, Fairouz Ai as Power, and Shiori Izawa as Pochita.
New additions to the cast are Hidenori Takahashi (Division 2 Deputy Captain), Eri Kitamura (Typhoon Devil), Kenji Akabane (Nomo), and Kenji Nomura (Mysterious Man).
Behind the scenes, Tatsuya Yoshihara returns to the director’s chair, with Hiroshi Seko working on the script. Kazutaka Sugiyama again handles the character designs, with the score composed by Kensuke Ushio. The staff assures us of a better, more even tone here, something fans felt lacking in parts of Season 1.
