Managing all those Ghibli-generated images in ChatGPT can be a bit of a chore. Well, not anymore, as you can manage all your creations in one place. OpenAI has introduced the Image Library feature in the chatbot, so you don’t have to navigate through different chats. Here’s how to use this feature.
What Is the ChatGPT Image Library Feature?
As the name suggests, the ChatGPT Image Library feature lets you view all the images that you have created in one place. From your Ghibli creations to creative action toy figures, it’s the only place you need to visit to showcase your creativity.
The best part? This feature is available to free users too. Furthermore, the feature can be accessed on the website as well as the ChatGPT mobile app.
By seeing all of your generations in one place, you don’t need to awkwardly browse through all the chats to share that one photo your friend asked about. It’s a welcome quality of life improvement nonetheless.
How to Use Image Library in ChatGPT
Using the image Library feature in ChatGPT is pretty easy. Just follow these steps:
- Log in to your ChatGPT account and tap on the two-bar menu in the sidebar
- Tap on the Library button below the Explore GPTs and find all the creations there.
- Here you can find all the images that you have generated to date.
You can view all the images, download them, and even modify them further by clicking on the Edit Image option. With the Edit image option, you can choose the elements you wish to remove or write a prompt to tweak it further to your liking. Tapping on send will take you back to the chat where you have created that image.
By tapping on the arrows on the left or right, you can browse through your generated images. It also shows you the date when you have generated the image at the top.
How to Delete Images From ChatGPT Media Library?
But what if you wish to hide or delete an image? Well, there isn’t a delete button, but we have a workaround to help you achieve the desired results.

Just check the image generation date and find that specific chat in the sidebar menu. Now tap on the three-dot menu and select the Delete option. Once you have deleted that particular chat, the image will also disappear from the Image Library.
Do note that archiving the chat doesn’t do anything, as the image is still visible in the media library section. The only way to get rid of an image is by deleting its corresponding chat.
So, if you wish to hide an image, your only way is to download it and delete that particular chat. This way, you can organize your Image Library by getting rid of any personal or embarrassing photos.
