CMF Phone 1 launch is due on July 8 and it is just around the corner. The Nothing sub-brand previously teased the phone’s design and also confirmed a few of its key features and specifications including the Dimensity 7300 chipset. Thanks to the company, we have a first look at its full design and the range of accessories set to accompany it.
The latest teaser shows the CMF Phone 1’s customizable back panel. You can swap the phone’s rear panel by loosening the screws at the back with the screwdriver. It will be available in four different colors: Orange, Black, Light Green, and Blue. The Orange and Blue options have a vegan leather finish, while the Black and Green models have a textured look.
The back itself accommodates a dual-camera module which looks similar to what we’ve also seen in the recent iPhone 16 leaks. The dual flash sits separately on the side. There are a total of four screws at the back, which not only allow you to change the case but also to attach different accessories to the phone.
The most noticeable of these is the rotating round dial on the bottom right. Contrary to previous rumors and how Nothing uses a similar dial on its earbuds, this dial doesn’t seem to offer additional functionality like volume control and will be used for attaching accessories.
As seen in the promotional poster featuring actress and CMF brand ambassador Rashmika Mandanna, you can attach a lanyard cable to the phone to wear it around your neck, reducing the risk of dropping or losing it.
You can also see a bulged accessory attached to the phone’s back in one of the teaser pictures. It looks like a like card or wallet case, but Nothing hasn’t yet revealed it fully. We may see that in the coming days before the launch.
Additionally, there’s a kickstand that can be attached to the rear plate through the round dial, allowing you to prop the phone up sideways for watching movies or TV shows at home or on the go. Nothing hasn’t confirmed whether the accessories will be included in the box or sold separately, but we anticipate they will be sold separately, including the iconic orange screwdriver needed to put those bits and pieces in place.
CMF Phone 1 Specifications
The CMF Phone 1 is confirmed to have a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and a peak brightness of 2,000 nits. You’ll get a 50-megapixel camera along with a 2-megapixel depth shooter on the rear.
Other specs include the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset paired with up to 8GB of RAM and a 5,000mAh battery. The CMF Phone 1 will be launching on July 8 at 10:00 BST with CMF Buds Pro 2 and CMF Watch Pro 2 in matching colorways.
