- Copilot web app is getting a few new AI voices.
- There is a new Copilot Daily card to read or listen to the news.
Microsoft is turning Copilot in a different direction it seems. It was only a few days ago when news broke Microsoft was working on a news presenter feature for Copilot mobile apps. It will act like a news aggregator and presenter so you can get your daily news in one place creating a new way to interact with and use AI.
The idea is to aggregate news from various sources based on your personal preferences and then present it in a way that’s easy to digest.
Copilot web app’s UI has received an overhaul making it sleek, and less cluttered with an option to enable dark/light mode. Clicking on the Copilot Daily card will reveal news you can read or listen to while on your morning walk. There are citations so you can click on the link to check the source.
Notably, when the daily news is over, Copilot shows a message – Thanks for tuning in today, see you again tomorrow. So you are not sucked into reading story after story endlessly. Copilot Daily is designed to be short, to the point, and time saver.
There are also four new AI voices to choose from:
- Meadow
- Wave
- Grove
- Canyon
First mobile and now web app. It seems Microsoft is using Daily News feature to distinguish itself from other leading AI chatbots. News has always been part of Microsoft’s larger portfolio. Microsoft used to run MSN but eventually phased it out. News and other components were moved to the Windows Start menu. So it makes sense to bring news to Copilot.
