The upcoming version of Honkai Star Rail is right around the corner! There will be a new version of a fan-favorite character and a full-blown Fate/Stay Night crossover. Yes, a lot to unpack. Here is your Honkai Star Rail countdown, plus everything you need to know before the update goes live.
Honkai Star Rail Version 4.4 Release Date and Time
Version 4.4 releases on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 10:00 PM PT; that’s for NA servers. For the EU and Asia servers, the update will drop the next day. As usual, HoYoverse will take the servers down for maintenance right before launch. Here’s when you can expect to log back in:

What’s Coming in Honkai Star Rail Version 4.4
New Characters
Three new 5-star characters are arriving in Version 4.4, and they are spread across two phases of the patch. Himeko – Nova leads the charge in Phase 1, while the two Fate collab characters, Rin Tohsaka and Gilgamesh, drop mid-patch on July 24.
Himeko – Nova is a brand-new 5-star version of Himeko as she appears in the Planarcadia storyline. She’s a Fire character on the Path of Erudition, so if you love AoE damage dealers, she’s going to be right up your alley. She’s not a rerun, though. This is a completely separate character with her own kit and story context. Her banner runs from July 14 to August 5, 2026.
Starting July 24, 2026, Honkai Star Rail is crossing over with the iconic Fate/Stay Night franchise. Rin Tohsaka joins as a Quantum Erudition character, while Gilgamesh arrives as a Lightning Destruction unit.
Story: Planarcadia Continues
Version 4.4 continues the Planarcadia story arc, with Himeko – Nova playing a central role in the new chapters. If you’ve been keeping up with the main quest, you can’t skip this one. The new story content drops alongside the update on July 14 and ties directly into why Nova exists as a separate character from the original Himeko.
There might even be new redeem codes dropping around launch, so keep an eye on the official HoYoverse channels and get ready for the new update.
