  • You can do both – manage and create events in the Google Calendar even from the Gemini app
  • However, this doesn’t work in Gemini for Google Messages app yet.
  • Only works in the English language for now.
  • Events will be added to your default calendar.
Create Google Calendar Events From Gemini Directly

We all live in a Google world. One way or another, you are probably using a Google app for something. The beauty of their rich ecosystem is that everything eventually works with everything else. Take Gemini and Calendar apps for example. Google’s Support page indicates that users can now create and manage Google events right from the Gemini app.

Must Read: More recently, Gemini was also integrated into Google Chrome. Here is how to use it with a simple command.

The Google Calendar integration with Gemini only supports the English language for the time being. Expect support for more languages soon. You can not only create events in Google Calendar but also manage them. Sadly, the events are created in your default calendar only. For some reason, you can’t choose the calendar yet. Google says the feature is being released gradually with more features in the pipeline.

Here’s a short list of things you can do currently:

  • Create, view, manage, and delete events in your calendar.
  • Add and change the date and time of the event.
  • You can invite people and add them to any events.
  • Add and change the location details of the event.
  • You can change or add event descriptions of an existing event.

To confirm whether the feature is available or not, I simply asked Gemini and it provided me with a list of things it needs to create the event in Calendar app.

Google Messages app recently received the AI treatment. Google has integrated Gemini within the app. Samsung, deepening its partnership with Google, has also made the Google Messages app default on its phones. However, you can’t use Google Calendar in the Google Messages app using Gemini. I wish that would happen since I do receive event details via messages a lot.
