Elden Ring Nightreign Nightfarers Tier List: Ranked Worst to Best
Here’s how all eight Nightfarers stack up against each other:
8. Revenant
This is the last character you can unlock in the game. The Revenant relies on summoning three spirits to fight for her. She can call Helen the Page, Frederick the Pumpkin Head, or Sebastian the Giant Skeleton to tank damage and distract enemies. Her Immortal March ultimate ability revives all nearby allies and makes them temporarily immortal. However, she has low health pool and struggles without her summons. You can play her character if you like summoning builds, have a protective team, and have already mastered the game.

Best weapons for Revenant:
- Coded Sword
- Cipher Pata
- Any weapon with faith scaling on it
7. Recluse
She is the ultimate spellcaster in the game, but she requires serious game knowledge. Her Magic Cocktail ability lets you combine different elemental residues to create powerful spells on the fly. She can potentially outdamage everyone else, but only if you memorize the cocktail recipes and manage your FP carefully. If you want complex magic gameplay and don’t mind practicing more on a character, then you can pick Recluse as your main.

Best weapons for Recluse:
- Coded Sword
- Cipher Pata
- Any staff with faith scaling on it
- Seals
6. Executor
His Cursed Sword lets you deflect attacks with perfect timing, building up massive damage bonuses. When you have successfully mastered him, he can stunlock bosses with repeated deflects. His Aspect of the Crucible: Beast ultimate ability transforms you into a monster with AoE attacks that can easily clear crowds. Pick the Executor if you can learn how to parry and you are good with timing.

Best weapons for Executor:
- Rivers of Blood
- Nagakiba
- Reduvia
5. Guardian
Guardian is a Nightfarer who has the highest health pool in the game and can block almost anything with his massive shield. His Seel Guard passive ability makes blocking barely drain your stamina. His Wings of Salvation ultimate ability can instantly revive teammates while making everyone nearby invincible for a few seconds. It’s definitely useful in tough boss fights. If you want to protect your time and also lead the charge, then Guardian is the perfect class for you.

Best weapons for Guardian:
- Mohgwyn’s Sacred Spear
- Golden Halberd
- Serpent-Hunter
- Commander’s Standard

4. Duchess
She is the very first locked character you need to claim. She is a bit tricky to master but incredibly rewarding. Her Restage skill copies the last big damage dealt to an enemy, basically doubling your team’s best hits. When your team works together, this can melt bosses’ health bars. She is also very mobile with her dodge rolls and her Finale ultimate, which turns the whole team invisible for revives or escapes. If you love high-skill gameplay and team coordination, pick the Duchess for your character once you unlock her.

Best weapons for Duchess:
- Glintstone Kris
- Wing of Astel
- Bastard’s Stars
- Moonveil
3. Wylder
Wylder is the jack-of-all-trades who can handle any situation. His Claw Shot works like a grappling hook, pulling you to enemies or pulling them to you. His Sixth Sense passive saves you from death once per area, which is perfect when you’re still learning enemy patterns. The Onslaught Strike ultimate can stagger almost any boss if you land it right. If you are just starting to play Nightreign and want a character that is good at everything, choose Wylder.

Best weapons for Wylder:
- Dark Moon Great Sword
- Blasphemous Blade
- Marais Executioner’s Sword
2. Raider
If you love getting in enemies’ faces and do melee combat, then Raider is perfect for you. This guy can take a beating and hit back even harder. His Retaliate skill lets you counter-attack after taking damage, often stunning even the biggest bosses. The cool thing about Raider is that he gets stronger the more damage he takes. His Totem Stela ultimate drops a massive stone that boosts your team’s attack power and gives everyone a safe platform to stand on. That’s why we put him at the second-best spot in our Elden Ring Nightreign Nightfarers tier list.

Best weapons for Raider:
- Axe of Godfrey
- Prelate’s Inferno Crozier
- Dragon Greatclaw
- Rotten Staff
1. Ironeye
Ironeye is hands down the best character for beginners. You’ll love how safe it feels to play from a distance while still dealing massive damage. His bow never runs out of arrows, so you can keep shooting forever. What makes Ironeye special is his Marking skill. You dash forward, stab an enemy, and create a weak spot that your whole team can hit for extra damage. His Single Shot ultimate can pierce through multiple enemies and even revive downed teammates if the arrow passes through them. Plus, his Eagle Eye passive gives your entire team better loot drops from kills.

Best weapons for Ironeye:
- Serpent Bow
- Horn Bow
- Rivers of Blood
- Reduvia
Which Character Should You Pick in Elden Ring Nightreign?
If you see the list above, each character class has its own strengths and weaknesses. To make it easier for you, I’ll divide them based on playstyle so you can choose accordingly:
- New to the game? Start with Ironeye or Raider. They’re forgiving and effective right away.
- Want something balanced? Wylder is your best bet. He does everything well without being overwhelming.
- You like high-skill gameplay? Try Duchess or Executor once you’re comfortable with the basics.
- Want to support your team? Guardian keeps everyone alive, while Revenant provides crowd control.
That’s the end of our Elden Ring Nightreign Nightfarers tier list. Remember, every character can be powerful with the right gear and practice. Don’t be afraid to experiment and find what clicks with your playstyle. The best character is the one you enjoy playing most.
