Where to Find King Crabstle
King Crabstle spawns on the shores of the small island within the FischFest 2 area, swimming around the coastline similarly to how other large fish roam their home waters. It has also been spotted in the water near the border edges of the event zone. Look for it during the day in Clear weather since those are its confirmed preferred conditions.
The key thing to know is that King Crabstle does not simply appear ready to catch. It starts in a sleeping state and you need to wake it up before it becomes catchable.
How to Catch King Crabstle
When you find King Crabstle sleeping on the shore you need to walk onto its body and move around on top of it to disturb it. Once woken up it will become active and start swimming around the island shores. You may also need some Disturbance in the area to trigger its spawn in the first place, so fishing actively nearby before looking for it is worth doing.
Once it is awake and moving, use one of its preferred baits to get a bite. The confirmed baits are Icy Fisch'n Dots, Tropical Fruit Mix, and Cotton Candy Pieces. It is a large catch, so expect a longer and more demanding reel once you get a bite. King Crabstle also drops Sunshells when disturbed though only one per interaction so do not count on it as a Sunshell farming method.
King Crabstle is not an easy catch so come prepared. Bring your best end game rods before attempting it since a weaker rod is going to make the reel significantly harder to complete. Given how rarely it spawns and how much effort goes into waking it up in the first place, the last thing you want is to lose it because your rod was not up to the task.
