Oaklings don't have a specific fishing spot - they can be caught in any water around the island, I found one near the Frozen lake. Also, the main challenge isn't finding Oaklings but surviving while fishing. Enemies constantly spawn in Everturn Forest and attack you while you're fishing. These enemies deal damage and can kill you if you're not careful. Here are some helpful tips that will make catching Oaklings easy for you:

  • Use Starlight bait when fishing for Oaklings. This is the preferred bait that significantly increases your catch rate.

What Oaklings Are Used For

  • Completing Your Bestiary: Catching an Oakling adds it to your Bestiary collection. If you're working on completing the full Bestiary, you need at least one Oakling registered. The Oakling counts as one of the secret fish species you must catch for 100% Bestiary completion.
