Spirit of Forest is a new rod added to Fisch in the Everturn Forest update. Getting this rod requires completing three quests from Thalor Virewood NPC on Everturn Forest island. The rod has infinite weight capacity and decent luck stats, making it useful for catching heavy fish. Here's how to unlock Spirit of Forest and whether it's worth the grind.
Spirit of Forest Rod Stats in Fisch
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| Lure Speed | 40% |
| Luck | 70% |
| Control | -0.02 |
| Resilience | 10% |
| Max Weight | Infinite kg |
The Spirit of Forest has infinite weight capacity, meaning you can catch any fish regardless of size without worrying about your line breaking from weight. The 70% luck is solid for catching rare mutations and better quality fish. However, the negative control makes reeling slightly harder, and the low resilience means fish move more aggressively during catches.
How to Get the Spirit of Forest Rod in Fisch?
Travel to Everturn Forest and find the Thalor Virewood NPC. This NPC gives you three quests that must be completed in order to unlock the Spirit of Forest rod.
- Quest 1: Catch 5 Everturn Forest Fish: The first quest requires catching any 5 fish from Everturn Forest waters. You don't need specific species - any fish that spawns on the island counts toward the quest. Fish anywhere on Everturn Forest until you catch 5 fish total. The catch requirement is simple, but enemies spawn around the island and attack you while fishing.
- Quest 2: Catch 5 Perfect Fish During Night: The second quest asks you to perform 5 perfect catches, specifically at night. Perfect catches happen when you reel in fish with excellent timing during the minigame. Wait for nighttime before starting this quest. Fish anywhere in Everturn Forest and focus on landing perfect catches. You need 5 perfect catches total to complete the quest.
- Quest 3: Catch and Return Rotting Mutation Fish: The third quest requires catching a fish with the Rotting mutation and returning it to Thalor Virewood. This is the hardest quest since mutations have low natural spawn rates. Use the Splitbranch Twig rod for this quest. The Twig rod's special ability lets you choose which fish species to target (amongst the catches), making it much easier to fish specifically for Rotting mutation fish.

Best Enchants for Spirit of Forest Rod
- Resilient - Boosts the rod's low 10% resilience stat, making fish less aggressive during catches
- Controlled - Offsets the negative -0.02 control penalty for smoother reeling
- Hasty - Increases the 40% lure speed to catch fish faster between casts
- Divine - Adds luck, resilience, and lure speed for well-rounded stat improvements
Is Spirit of Forest Rod Worth It?
Spirit of Forest is definitely worth getting if you need a rod with infinite weight capacity. The infinite kg limit means you never have to worry about line breaks from heavy fish, making it perfect for catching giants and legendary catches. The 70% luck is respectable for increasing mutation chances and rare fish spawns. The rod's main weakness is the negative control and low resilience, but enchantments can fix both problems. The quest chain takes time, but the infinite weight capacity alone makes Spirit of Forest valuable for your collection. We are not completely sure about the passive ability right now, but we will update this guide soon with more details.
