The Classic Update in Fish It introduced two brand new high-rarity fish to the game, and the one everyone is talking about is the Forgotten Frostbite Leviathan. This is one of the hardest fish to pull in the entire game right now. However, the developers made it slightly more accessible in this update compared to how forgotten fish have worked before. Here is everything you need to know about it.
What Is the Frostbite Leviathan in Fish It?
The Frostbite Leviathan is the Forgotten rarity version of the Leviathan fish in Fish It. Forgotten fish are among the rarest you can catch in the game, sitting above Secret fish in terms of rarity. This one specifically has a 1 in 12 million chance of being pulled, which makes landing one an incredibly rare event.
The Frostbite Leviathan has a blocky skin design, which fits the classic retro theme of the update. What really makes it stand out is its glowing white aura that surrounds the fish. The aura is bright and eye-catching, making it immediately obvious when someone pulls one on the server. It features a massive set of sharp teeth and iconic tentacles with glowing white diamond patterns.

To put it simply, 1 in 12 million is extremely rare. In a full server during an admin event, you might see just one or two people pull a Forgotten fish over an extended session. During the Classic Update's first admin event, only a handful of players across the entire server managed to land one.
Thankfully, the Forgotten Hunter enchant was buffed as part of this update, which directly increases your chances of pulling a Forgotten rarity fish. Combined with other luck boosts, the odds become more realistic, even if they are still very low.
How to Catch the Frostbite Leviathan in Fish It
Step 1: Head to Classic Island
The first step is to get on your boat and head over to Classic Island. You can reach it from Kohana Island, then sail toward Pirate Cove Island. Along the way, you’ll come across the new Classic Island.
Step 2: Get the Noobed Rod
The next step is to obtain the Noobed Rod. This rod isn’t just cosmetic, it also removes the restriction that prevents you from fishing in the cave pond on Classic Island. To get it, head into the cave and speak with the NPC John Doe.
Complete his quest by catching 10 Legendary fish in the Classic Island area. Once you finish the task, you’ll receive the Noobed Rod.
Step 3: Fish in the Cave Pond
Now that you’ve unlocked access to fish in the cave pond, start fishing there. While the Frostbite Leviathan can reportedly be caught anywhere around Classic Island, the cave pond is said to offer the highest chance.
Step 4: Use Luck Boosts
You cannot guarantee a catch this rare, but you can give yourself the best possible chance. Here is what you should do:
- Equip the Boom Box Charm for a +20% luck boost before you start fishing.
- Visit the Party Wizard NPC and exchange 300 coins for the Luck Spell, which gives +50% luck.
- Use the Forgotten Hunter enchant on your rod, since it was buffed in this update and specifically increases your odds of pulling Forgotten fish.
- Fish during admin events, when rare fish are more likely to appear.
