Fish It Eid Mubarak update brought a lot of new stuff, and one of the most unique additions is the Ketupat Exchange event. This one is all about collecting, gifting, and getting rewarded for being generous. Here's everything you need to know about how it works.

What Is the Ketupat Exchange in Fish It?

The Ketupat Exchange is a limited-time event mechanic added as part of the Fish It Eid Mubarak update. Instead of just fishing and keeping what you catch, this system asks you to collect a specific fish, trade it in, and then give the reward away to other players.

It actually pretty much sums up what Eid is all about in real life, where it's a time for giving, sharing, and spreading joy with the people around you. The developers clearly wanted to bring that same feeling into the game.

Fish It Ketupat Exchange Event Guide

The whole system runs in a simple loop. Here's how it goes step by step.

Step 1: Catch the Ketupat Slug Fish

Before you can do anything at the exchange, you need to catch the Ketupat Slug fish. This is a special event fish that looks like a small ketupat, which is the diamond-shaped rice cake you see during Eid celebrations. You can find and catch it in the Ketupat Whale event area on the map (right beside the Fishermand Island).

You'll need to collect 10 Ketupat Slug fish to make one exchange, so plan on spending a bit of time fishing in that area.

Step 2: Head to the Ketupat Exchange

Once you have 10 Ketupat Slug fish, go to the Ketupat Exchange location in the game. It is located at the Fisherman Island, on the top platform. Hand over your 10 fish to Jonathan NPC and you'll receive a gift box in return.

Step 3: Gift the Box to Another Player

The gift box you just received cannot be opened by you. It's locked. The only thing you can do with it is gift it to someone else. That's the whole point of this mechanic. It's built around the idea of giving during Eid. So find another player and send the box their way.

Step 4: Gift 10 Boxes to Unlock Your Reward

Every time you gift a box to someone, it counts toward your total. Once you've gifted 10 boxes, you unlock a better reward for yourself. The whole system is designed to reward generosity, so the more you give, the more you get back.

Should You Join the Ketupat Exchange Event?

Yes, especially if you're already spending time in the Ketupat Whale area fishing for the new event fish. Since you're going to be catching Ketupat Slug anyway, you might as well put them toward the exchange.

The gifting system also makes it a great way to interact with other players on your server. It's one of those event mechanics that feels different and actually fits the spirit of Eid really well. Just keep in mind that this is a limited-time event that only runs for about 6 days. Once the event ends, the Ketupat Exchange goes with it, so don't wait too long to get started.
