Fish It has received another major update, and this time, you can dive into the mysterious Mariana Trench. Alongside the new underwater zone, the update adds rare fish, a new pet egg, customizable pet name tags, weather improvements, and free Mutation II potions. Here's everything you need to know.

Here is everything coming in the latest big update:

1. Mariana Trench Location

The headliner of this update is the Mariana Trench, a brand-new underwater fishing zone you access through the Mutation Cellar. This new POI is very deep, and the atmosphere is dark and moody.

The Mariana Trench skips the Mythical and Secret tiers entirely. The rarest catch you can pull here is a Forgotten-tier fish. There's also a Coming Soon area tucked just beyond the current zone. If you use free camera mode, you can actually see it sitting there, teasing what's next. My read on this is that there are going to be multiple "floors" of the Mariana Trench, each with its own exclusive fish pool.

2. Trench Warden - New Forgotten Fish

Deep in the Mariana Trench, you'll find the Trench Warden, the new Forgotten-tier fish for this update. It's an anglerfish design, and at around 15 meters at its max size. For a Forgotten, it's not the most jaw-dropping thing I've seen. But it's still a Forgotten, so worth hunting.

3. Coral Reaper - New Secret Fish

Head over to Stingray Shores to find the Coral Reaper, the new Secret-tier fish added this update. It has 6 meters max size. If you're building out a nice aquarium display or just want the full set, this one's also worth going after.

4. Kawaii Egg

A brand-new pet egg has dropped: the Kawaii Egg. Pull from it, and you have a shot at hatching one of six pets:

5. Pet Customization

This is a small change that I think is going to be way more popular than people expect. Pet Name Tags can now be customized with different text colors and fonts. You can finally make your pet feel like yours. Here's how to do it:

  1. Open your Pet Inventory.
  2. Find your pet and click Edit Pet.
  3. Pick your font style.
  4. Set your preferred text color.
  5. Save the changes.

It sounds minor but the difference is real. Seeing your pet with a custom-styled name adds a personal touch that the game was missing before.

6. New Weather Events

  • Meteor Shower is an entirely new weather type in Fish It! When it triggers, streaks of light rain across the sky. It also grants a passive Reeling Speed boost while it's active.
  • The old Cloudy Weather is gone. In its place is Fog, which comes with completely updated visual effects. It looks cleaner, runs better on lower-end devices, and creates a way more atmospheric vibe than cloudy ever did.

7. Redeem Code

Before you do anything else, redeem this code. Type MUTATION2 in the code redemption box, and you'll get 2x free Mutation II potions. Mutations are key to boosting the power of your fish, so these are actually useful.
