The latest Fish It update, Copper Canyon, is finally here, and with it comes one of the most requested features by the community: Pets! This Wild West-themed update not only introduces a brand-new area but also adds pets that can accompany players during their fishing adventures while providing useful buffs. In this guide, you’ll find everything you need to know about pets in Fish It.
What Are Pets in Fish It?
Pets in Fish It are cute companions that follow players around while they explore and fish. Besides looking adorable, pets also provide useful stat boosts, such as increased reel speed or improved luck.
Pets come in different forms and rarities. Naturally, the rarer the pet, the stronger the boosts it provides.
All Pets in Fish It
There are currently 6 types of pets you can get in Fish It, ranging from Common to Secret rarity:

How to Get Pets in Fish It
To get pets in Fish It, you need to purchase them through the in-game store using Robux. However, you cannot directly choose the pet you want because the system uses a gacha mechanic based on rarity.
Instead, you must buy the Founder Eggs and hatch them to receive a random pet. To buy the eggs, head to the in-game store by clicking the Shop icon on top of the screen, or talk to Clara NPC inside the Pet Store located on Fisherman’s Island and the new Copper Canyon Island.
There are three available Pet Egg bundle options in the store:
- 1 Egg - 109 Robux
- 3 Eggs - 327 Robux
- 5 Eggs - 545 Robux
Pet rarity chances range from 51% for Rare pets down to just 1% for the rarest Secret-tier pet. Because of this, if you are hoping to obtain a Secret pet, you should be prepared to spend a considerable amount of Robux.
Where to Find the Pet Store in Fish It
There are two Pet Stores in Fish It, located on Fisherman’s Island and Copper Island, and both are very easy to find.
On Fisherman’s Island, head to the main shop area just behind the docks. The Pet Store is located on the right side. It used to be the gear shop, but it has now been converted into the Pet Shop. Just look for the bright purple shop, that's where you'll want to go.
On Copper Island, the Pet Shop can be found right beside the Sheriff’s Office. From the central lake in the middle of the island, head toward the back area, and you will spot the shop with Clara inside.
