How to Start the Prison Break Quest in Fish It

To start the quest, head over to Classic Island first. Once you're there, look for the Prisoner NPC in front of the prison cage. Walk up to him and start a conversation. When the dialogue options show up, pick the first one at the top. That kicks off the quest.

He'll tell you he needs your help escaping from the prison guard. Your job? Distract the guard so he can make a run for it.

Fish It Prison Break Guide

The quest has a few steps, but none of them are difficult to do:

  1. Talk to the Prisoner — Start the quest by picking the top dialogue option.
  2. Get a Prisoner Fish — You need to catch a specific fish called the Prisoner Fish. The best chance to get it is in the Classic Cave, or you can also try to farm it in the Classic Island pond, too. It might take a few casts, so be patient.
  3. Place the fish on the X mark — Once you've got the fish, find the X mark on the ground near the Prison Guard (just on top of the hills across the prisoner) and drop the fish there.
  4. Talk to the Prisoner again — Go back and chat with him one more time. This is where you distract the prison guard.
  5. Collect your reward — After you distract the guard, the quest wraps up, and you get the Retro Police Car lantern.

The Retro Police Car Lantern is a very cool lantern to be equipped in Fish It right now. It’s designed after a classic police car, and the best part is that the red and blue sirens are active, making it bright and eye-catching.
