The Classic Island update in Fish It brought a lot of cool stuff, including new caves, the Iron Cafe, secret fish, and new rod skins. But one thing that really changes how you play is the Retro Disasters machine. Here's everything you need to know about the Retro Disasters machine in Fish It.
Where to Find the Retro Disasters Machine in Fish It
Head to the upper level of Classic Island and look for the cave lake, just one level higher than the Classic Machine. Right next to it, you'll spot a large orange machine, which is the Retro Disasters machine. It's located right across the waterfall that covers the new Classic Cave POI. Walk up to it, and you can choose which weather event to activate.Â
Instead of coins, it runs on Tix. Each retro disaster weather lasts exactly 2 hours on the server, so everyone on the server benefits from it, not just you.
All Weather Events in Retro Disasters Machine
Here's a quick breakdown of every weather event you can activate:
| Weather Event | Image | Ticket Cost | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|
| Taco Rain | ![]() | 5,000 | +200% passive boost |
| Retro Tornado | ![]() | 1,000 | 20% secret item chance |
| Retro Lightning | ![]() | 1,000 | +30% reel speed |
| Retro Volcano | ![]() | 1,000 | Chance for Fire Mutation fish |
Out of all the weather events, Taco Rain is the most important one to know about. It's the only way to make the secret Taco Fish appear. And if you're trying to unlock the Taco Rod skin, you need that fish as a crafting ingredient.
So if the Taco Rod skin is on your list, you can't skip this weather. Make sure someone activates Taco Rain before you start fishing for it, or spend the 5,000 Tix yourself if the weather isn't up.
Tips for Using the Retro Disasters Machine in Fish It
- Check what's already active before spending Tix. Since effects are server-wide, someone else might have already paid for it.
- Stack your goals. If you're farming Tix and also need the Taco Fish, wait until you can afford Taco Rain before heading to the cave lake area.
- Retro Lightning is great for grinding. The +30% reel speed makes regular fishing sessions noticeably faster, and it's only 1,000 Tix.
The Retro Disasters machine adds a fun new layer to Classic Island in Fish It. Whether you're chasing the Taco Rod skin or just want better passive boosts, knowing when and how to use it will help you a lot.
