The Classic Update Part 3 for Fish It added a bunch of new stuff, and one of the things that players are happiest about is the RNG Locker. It gives you a real shot at free rod skins and other rewards just by playing the game. If you want to know how it works, I will explain it with this Fish It RNG Locker Guide.
Where to Find the RNG Locker in Fish It
Head over to Classic Island first. Once you are there, climb the stairs and look for a building called Fish Skool. Walk inside and you will see a row of lockers waiting to be opened on the left side of the class room. That is your RNG Locker setup right there.
There are two types of lockers inside Fish Skool. The regular blue lockers are the free ones, and the golden lockers cost Robux. Both give you different types of rewards, and more on that below.
How to Get Locker Keys in Fish It
You need a Locker Key to open any of the blue lockers. These look like a small key item in your inventory. There are two ways to get them:
- The first way is to fish in the small pond inside Fish Skool. Just cast your rod in there and you have a chance to pull up a Locker Key instead of a fish. It might take a few tries, but it works.
- The second way is to talk to the Sleepy Principal NPC standing near the lockers. He will hand you a free Locker Key and a Trade Index item just for chatting with him. This is a one-time thing per visit, so do not skip it. The Trade Index is useful too since you can use it over at the Trading Plaza.
Blue RNG Locker in Fish it
Each blue locker gives you a random reward when you use a Locker Key on it. The rewards vary, so there is always a bit of surprise involved.
Here is a breakdown of what you might pull from them:
Most of the time you will probably land on Tix or a potion, but keep trying. The locker system is all about luck, and having more keys means more chances.
Golden RNG Locker in Fish It
The Golden Locker is a separate set of lockers that cost Robux to open. These give you a shot at the Tellamonster Rod skin, which is a limited time skin. Here is what the drop rates look like inside the Golden Locker:

Always talk to the Sleepy Principal first when you visit Fish Skool. That free Locker Key and Trade Index are easy value and you should never miss them. After that, fish in the school pond to stack up more keys before you start opening lockers.
Try to spread your keys across different numbered lockers instead of focusing on just one. Each locker is its own random roll, so variety gives you a better feel for what each one can drop.
