How to Get Tabby Cat in Fish It

The Tabby Cat is one of the first seven pets added to Fish It with the Copper Canyon Island update. It is a Common-tier pet, but it still provides a useful +4% Luck bonus, which is quite good for a free pet.

To get the Tabby Cat for free in Fish It, you simply need to complete a new quest given by Clara NPC, the Pet Store clerk. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to complete it:

Step 1: Talk to Clara

The first thing you need to do is log in to the game and head to the new area, Copper Canyon Island. From Fisherman’s Island, sail toward Kohana Island first, then turn left. The island name should appear on your screen to help guide you.

Once you arrive, head to the Pet Store, which is located beside the Sheriff’s Office behind the central lake on Copper Island. The shop has a large sign, so it should be easy to spot.

Inside, talk to Clara NPC, the store clerk. You do not need to select any specific dialogue option because simply speaking with her will complete the first Helping Hand quest requirement. 

Step 2: Get the Requirements

Next, the quest requires you to collect several fish and items. To complete the quest, you need to obtain:

  • 20x Salmon
  • 5x Pet Collars

The best place to farm these items is around Copper Island. You can either fish in the central lake or head to the upper area across the bridge, where you will find a smaller lake.

Do not forget to use passive abilities and luck boosters while farming, as these items are not very common.

Step 3: Claim the Tabby Cat

After collecting all the required items, return to Clara and hand them over. She will then reward you with the free Tabby Cat pet.

To equip your newly obtained Tabby Cat companion, open the Items menu and head to the Pets tab on the right side. Select the Tabby Cat and equip it. The pet will automatically appear behind your character and follow you around.
