Finding the right place to land in Fortnite is very important. If you drop somewhere too popular, you might get eliminated before you even find a weapon. These 5 best drop locations in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 give you solid loot, decent materials, and a good chance of making it to the later circles without fighting ten other players straight off the bus. Check them out!

1. Docks Area on South West of Squibbly Shores

This spot on the left side of the map is one of the best-kept secrets early in the season. You want to land at the main building first. Inside, you'll find a couple of chests spread around, and the kitchen area is great for farming metal, which is the strongest building material in the game.

Once you've cleared the building, head out to the docks. There's a launch pad sitting out there, along with a chest and some floor loot spawns. Grab everything, hit the launch pad, and fly out over the water. There's even another launch pad on the water, so rotating from here is easy. After all that, you can swing over to the lighthouse or the nearby buildings for even more loot. Additionally, you can also find Squibbly and Chef Squibbly NPCs just at the Squibbly Shores area.

2. Hillside Camp North of Latte Landing

This one sits just above Latte Landing, and it's a great option if you want to avoid early fights. When you're dropping in, aim for the back of the area. You'll land at a small mountain with a campsite on top of it. Inside the building you'll get a chest, an ammo crate, and a couple of barrels. Outside, there are two tents with chests in them.

The rocks around here are worth farming too. They give a really good amount of brick, which is solid for building. Keep heading east and you'll pass more tents with chests on the way. Eventually, you'll reach a newer split section of the map with even more chests, some fishing holes, and a slurp truck that can restore your health and shield passively. Once you're done, you can push into Latte Landing itself to pick up any fights or just grab whatever loot is left behind.

3. Castle Bridge on the North of Frigid Fortress

Up on the north side of the map, there's a cool castle-style bridge structure that most players fly past. This place packs a lot of chests into a small area, which makes it perfect for a quick, efficient loot run.

Start on the roof, where you'll find floor spawns and sometimes a chest. Drop down inside and there are more chests in the main area, under the stairs, and just outside on the other end. In total, you're looking at five or six chests from this one structure alone, and you can clear them all in under a minute.

From there, head down to the house below. You'll usually find three or four more chests there and a couple more scattered along the beach.

4. Building North East of Frigid Fortress

This one is right next to the previous spot, which makes it great if you want to loot both back to back. Not many players know about it, so you'll almost never be contested here.

The building itself has four chests total. Three of them spawn every single game, and the fourth spawns roughly half the time. You'll also find a couple of gun spawns on the roof and around the building, plus some metal to farm while you're at it.

Once you're done looting the main building, head east. There's an igloo with a chest inside that spawns every game. Right next to it is a snow cone-themed orange van with a guaranteed chest on top. That brings your total up to five or six chests without going far at all.

If you still feel under-geared after all that, you can push into Latte Landing from here. It's close enough that you won't miss the zone, and you can pick up whatever's left or fight anyone who landed there. Plus, there is a launchpad on top of the building, so you can use that to rotate.

5. Solo Building West of Sandy Strip

This might be the most underrated drop in all of Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2. It's a single building, but every chest here has a 100% spawn rate, meaning they are always there every session without fail.

You can get four chests and five barrels total. But the real bonus here is the hot tub inside the building. Standing in it actually restores your shield over time. Combined with the five barrels, you can hit full shield without using a single one of your healing items. That's a massive advantage heading into the mid-game.

What makes this spot even better is that it sits close to Dark Dominion, home of one of the best bosses in the game right now. Dark Voyager Echo spawns there every single match. Take him out, and you're guaranteed to pick up the Mythic Chaos Reloader Shotgun, also known as Dark Voyager's Obliterator. If you're feeling confident after looting the hot tub building, swinging over to challenge the boss is absolutely worth it.
