Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 Patch Notes

The Showdown Battle Pass

Every new Fortnite season brings a new Battle Pass, and Chapter 7 Season 2 is no different. This time it's called the Showdown Pass, and it's stacked with remixed versions of classic characters alongside some brand new faces. Here's every skin confirmed so far:

  • The Foundation Remixed
  • The Ice King Remixed
  • The Order Remixed
  • Jules Remixed
  • New Fishstick skin (Cthulu)
  • Bugs Bunny
  • Cat-themed Skin
  • Frost Queen Skin

The Foundation vs Ice King Rivalry System

The big story this season is the clash between The Foundation and The Ice King, with a mysterious third party, the Dark Voyager, who is seemingly pulling strings behind the scenes. It's a storyline fans have been waiting to see play out for years.

New POIs

The map is getting a significant refresh with Season 2. The biggest addition is Frigid Fortress, which is the Ice King's massive castle. It looks like it'll be one of the hottest drop spots this season.

On top of Frigid Fortress, at least two more new POIs are being added. One of them is an Atlantis-inspired underwater location that was shown in the Chapter 7 Season 2 cinematic trailer. The second new POI hasn't been fully revealed yet, so that's still a mystery.

New Weapons and Loot Pool

Epic's design director, Ted Timmins, confirmed that Chapter 7 Season 2 will come with a fully revamped loot pool. Here's what's confirmed for the new weapon lineup:

  • Scoped AR
  • Jules' New Revolver
  • Seven Cluster Cannon
  • Foundation's Rift Rifle

Skyzips Movement

Epic Games co-founder Mark Rein dropped a one-word teaser ahead of Season 2: "Skyzips." Based on the name and what we know about how Fortnite handles movement mechanics, the most likely explanation is an aerial zipline network spread across the map.

Looney Tunes Crossover

The Looney Tunes collab is bigger than just the Bugs Bunny Battle Pass skin. According to the official Looney Tunes social media, Daffy Duck and Lola Bunny are both coming to the Fortnite Item Shop shortly after Season 2 launches. There's also speculation that more Looney Tunes characters could show up throughout the season as the collab continues to roll out.

There's a lot to explore once Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 releases on March 19th. Between the new POIs, a full loot pool reset, the rival faction system, two new Seven weapons, a Looney Tunes collab, and a brand new movement mechanic, it's fully packed!
