Did you boot up Fortnite this morning and feel like you walked into a completely different game? The Zero Point just pulled off something huge, and the way you win a match has now changed. There's a fresh map, brand new gear, and one strange new item that everyone is suddenly scrambling to grab. Stick with me, and I will show you all about the Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 runners full guide.
Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 Runners Guide
Here is the list of everything coming in the newest Fortnite update:
New Island: The Shattered Coast
If you see the Shattered live event, you will know that the Zero Point cracked the sky wide open and rebuilt the whole map into the Shattered Coast.

You can now explore areas like Sunken Shores, battle along the coastline, and discover how the Zero Point has affected different parts of the island. The season also introduces a new set of weapons, so you'll need to adjust your strategy instead of relying on your old loadouts.
Sprites Return
Remember the cute Sprite? They finally return this season. If you don't remember them, they are these special little helpers. Each one gives you a unique Sprite Power when you equip it.

However, unlike the older season, when you find a Sprite now, you can't just hold onto it. You have to carry it to an Extraction Site, defend yourself while a timer counts down, and bank it to your Collection for future matches. If you get eliminated before you bank it, your Sprite drops on the spot for the next player to steal.
Every time you successfully extract a Sprite, you'll earn Sprite Dust. This resource lets you summon Sprites you've already collected at the start of future matches and use their abilities right away. Stronger and rarer Sprites require more Sprite Dust to summon. You can also use Dust to upgrade Sprite abilities and improve the rewards they provide.
Gizmos
This season also brings Gizmos, new consumable items that make extracting Sprites faster or riskier depending on how you use them. They start in your pickaxe slot when you jump from the bus, and your Gizmo stash sticks around all season.
Just remember they expire when the season ends, so use them rather than hoard them.
| Gizmo | What It Does | When |
|---|---|---|
| Portable Extractor | Extract your equipped Sprite from anywhere on the map | Available now |
| Lucky Locator | Tracks down a buried chest guaranteed to hold a Sprite you don't own yet | Coming later |
| Extraction Site Booster | Calls in a crate that boosts any Sprite extracted there, but it grabs everyone's attention | Coming later |
Gizmos can't be traded and simply drop when you're eliminated, so you never permanently lose one. You earn more by finishing Bonus Goals quests, trading in Sprite Dust, and completing Sprite Mastery.
New Weapons and Movement Items
Four new weapons land with the update, with more later in the season:

| Weapon | Why It Stands Out |
|---|---|
| Extending Focus Shotgun | Fires a 3-shot burst, with each shot becoming more accurate than the last. |
| Surgical Burst Rifle | Has very low recoil and stays effective at long range. |
| Chaos Exploder Rifle | Shoots explosive cubes that are great for hitting enemies behind cover. |
| Lancehead Pistol | Comes with a 21-round magazine. When reloading, you can throw the empty magazine at nearby enemies to deal extra damage. |
Later in the season, you can get the Bank Shot Pistol, which ricochets shots off surfaces to hit targets around corners.
For movement, you can use Seven Sliders to travel faster across the map, with the ability to aim down sights mid-slide to slow time for a clean shot before the jets launch you into the air. Shock Rocks arrive later, letting you crush one for three midair leaps.
Several fan-favorite weapons are returning as well, including:
- Striker Pump
- Maven Auto Shotgun
- Ranger Pistol
- Stinger SMG
- Hunting Rifle
- Chaos Reloader Shotgun
Bus Exfil: A Second Way to Win
Later this season, some matches will end in a wild new way. There's a small chance the Battle Bus rifts back into the map mid-game, giving you a window to climb aboard.
Get on, grapple up, and bring at least one teammate to the rift-out point to lock in the Victory. Multiple teams can win this way in a single match, so it's not always the last squad standing anymore.

Ranked Reset and New Rewards
Ranks have been reset, and there's a fresh batch of Ranked rewards to chase in Battle Royale.
| Rank | Reward | Icon |
|---|---|---|
| Gold | Cube's Creche Back Bling | ![]() |
| Platinum | Voyager's Suit Wrap | ![]() |
| Elite | Hatchets of Chaos Pickaxe | ![]() |
| Unreal | Axe of Unreal Pickaxe | ![]() |
There's also a brand new Unreal Legends rank for the absolute best players. To earn it, you need to hit Unreal, hold at least 2,500 Skill Rating, and land in the Top 500 of the Unreal Leaderboard all at the same time.
Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 Runners changes the usual battle royale formula by encouraging players to collect powerful Sprites, keep them safe, and carry them into future matches. Between the Shattered Coast, the Sprite chase, and that surprise Bus Exfil ending, there's a lot to experiment with this time!
