New Features in Fortnite Festival Season 14
Laufey's arrival also comes with some of the biggest gameplay updates Festival has seen. Epic Games used her vocal abilities and performance style as direct inspiration for two brand new ways to play.
- Mic Vocals lets you sing along in real time using any microphone that works with Fortnite on PC or console. It's essentially a karaoke mode built into the game, where you hit notes with your voice instead of buttons.
- Pro Drums lets you plug in a Rock Band 4 drum kit or any compatible MIDI drum kit and actually hit real drum pads and bass pedals to play the drums.
Two other quality-of-life changes also come with this season. You can now walk around freely inside the Jam Ring while you perform instead of being locked in place. The new Quick Mix UI also lets you swap or shuffle tracks while jamming, so you can jump between songs instantly without stopping.
