Sinister Strip is already one of the best landing spots in Chapter 7 Season 3, but most players have no idea there is a secret locked prison cell hidden in the basement of one of its buildings. Getting inside takes a bit of work, but the reward is worth it, including a near-guaranteed Mythic Limitless Seven Sliders and a chunk of XP from a hidden quest. Here is how to enter the locked prison in Fortnite!

Where to Find the Locked Prison Cell in Fortnite

Head to the northeast building of Sinister Strip and enter through the south gate. Once inside, look to your left and you will see a staircase leading both up and down. Take it all the way down to the basement. At the bottom you will find a locked door surrounded by electricity sparks. If you try to walk up to it directly it will knock you back, which is the game's way of telling you that the power needs to be cut before you can proceed.

How to Open the Locked Prison Cell in Fortnite

On either side of the pillars with red lights you will notice two wires running along the walls. These are your clues. Follow both of them to their power sources and shut them down one at a time.

  • Left side wire: Follow the left wire into the tunnel ahead. Keep moving alongside it until you reach a vent. Go through the vent and then take the left turn at the next vent opening. You will find the first power source here. Interact with the North Prison Security Grid to turn it off. There is also a decent amount of loot scattered through this tunnel if you want to grab some before heading back.
  • Right side wire: Head back to the main room and follow the right side wire in the opposite direction. This one leads you to the South Prison Security Grid. Interact with it to shut it down as well.

Once both grids are offline, return to the locked door. The electricity will be gone and you can now open the prison cell freely.

How to Get Mythic Limitless Seven Sliders in Fortnite?

Opening the cell triggers a mission quest called Path of Least Resistance: Power On and Open an Electric Vault, which rewards you with 1,000 XP just for completing the unlock.

Inside the cell itself, you will find multiple Rare Chests (you might also find some sprites here), ammo crates, and additional loot. Most importantly, one of the crates inside contains the Mythic Limitless Seven Sliders, and the drop is pretty much guaranteed making this one of the most reliable ways to grab a Mythic weapon early in a match.

Given that Sinister Strip already has strong loot and two NPCs outside including Vanguard Slone and The Singularity, adding this prison run to your landing routine makes it one of the most rewarding drop spots on the entire Chapter 7 Season 3 map.
