Overwatch Weapons, Landmarks, and NPCs in Fortnite

Fortnite is actually adding Overwatch-themed weapons to the loot pool, so you might be throwing Genji's shuriken and katana, or using Tracer's pulse pistols in your next match. The exact weapon stats aren't confirmed yet, but expect them to feel different from the standard Fortnite arsenal.

On top of that, there will be Overwatch-themed POIs added to the map, giving you new areas to explore. Overwatch NPCs are also showing up in the game, which could mean new dialogue or services you can interact with during a match. There will even be a Porsche SUV with Overwatch decals thrown in.

The collab comes with its own set of quests tied to the Act III theme of Chapter 7 Season 2. Completing these quests will earn you rewards, obviously, though the exact list of rewards isn't confirmed yet. This is the best way to get free stuff from the collab without spending V-Bucks, so make sure you don't skip the quest tab when the update drops.

Based on the trailer that you can watch above, the four Overwatch characters will be part of Team Foundation, which ties into the Chapter 7 Season 2 Showdown storyline. In the trailer, the Ice King's minions visibly panic when the Overwatch heroes show up, which is a fun little detail that hints these characters are going to play a real role in Act III's story.

Here's a simple breakdown of what to do when the collab goes live:
