Power Hour Gameplay Changes

Both weekend Power Hours feature special gameplay changes that make Battle Royale more exciting. These modifications apply to all matches during the one-hour windows:

  • Every player starts the match with an MK-7 Assault Rifle already in their inventory. This guaranteed weapon ensures everyone has a good gun right from the start instead of hoping to find one quickly after landing.
  • Every player also starts with a Self-Revive Device. If you get eliminated, you can use the device to bring yourself back instead of going straight to the lobby. This feature makes Power Hours more forgiving and lets you keep fighting.
  • POIs will have increased numbers of Rare Chests. These special locations give you better chances at finding powerful loot if you land there. The POIs change each Power Hour, so you won’t know exactly where they are until you start playing.

How to Participate

Load into any standard Battle Royale match before the Power Hour starts. Duos, Trios, and Squads all work. The Rocket event will play out in the sky during your match, and the gameplay changes will be active automatically. Join a match 10-15 minutes early to be safe. If you’re already in a game when the Power Hour begins, you’ll still see the event and have access to all the special changes.

That’s everything you need to know about this weekend’s Fortnite Power Hours. Mark your calendar for February 28 at 3:30 PM ET or March 1 at 10:00 AM ET and get ready for the Rocket event rerun and special gameplay changes. Don’t miss the free Visitor’s Return loading screen!
