Epic Games has partnered with Disney once again to bring Pixar's animated film Ratatouille into the Fortnite universe. The collaboration introduces vehicle customization items themed around the French rat cook, and you can unlock several of these cosmetics without spending V-Bucks. This guide covers everything you need to know about claiming the free Ratatouille items in Fortnite.

How to Get Ratatouille Items in Fortnite for Free

Unlike typical Fortnite events, where you complete challenges in Battle Royale, the Ratatouille collaboration requires you to play Rocket League. Epic Games owns both titles, and they've been doing more cross-game promotions lately.

To get the free Ratatouille cosmetics in Fortnite, you need to complete limited-time challenges in Rocket League. Only two items from the event carry over to Fortnite, but they're completely free.

Here are the exact challenges you need to finish to unlock the Fortnite-compatible items:

Ratatouille Wheels
Just play online matches and score goals. It doesn't matter if you win or lose.

Octane Little Chef Decal
Points in Rocket League come from goals, assists, saves, and other actions. You need to average about 75 points per match across five games.

Both of these vehicle customization options will automatically appear in your Fortnite locker once you complete the challenges. Just make sure that you have the same Epic Games account linked to both Rocket League and Fortnite. If you're using different accounts for each game, the items won't transfer over.

The Ratatouille challenges in Rocket League will only be available until Monday, June 1, 2026. That gives you roughly two weeks from the event launch to complete everything and claim your free cosmetics.

How to Get Ratatouille Items in the Item Shop

Besides the free Rocket League rewards, Epic has added two additional Ratatouille-themed items directly in the Item Shop. Here's what's available for purchase:
