The Infinity Blade is back in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2, and it has been modified to be better. The Ice Kingdom reforged this legendary weapon and gave it some serious upgrades. Here's everything you need to know about getting the Reforged Infinity Blade in Fortnite.
How to Get Reforged Infinity Blade in Fortnite
Team Ice King has reached Showdown Act II Milestone 3, which means the Reforged Infinity Blade is now available. However, you won’t find it in chests or as regular floor loot. The weapon only appears when an active Rift Anomaly spawns during a match, and you’ll see a notification on the right side of your screen when it happens.

Once the notification appears, check your mini-map for sword icons. The blade can spawn anywhere on the map, so there’s no fixed location. So far, each match has featured four Reforged Infinity Blade spawns (see image below). It also doesn’t appear in every match outside of Power Hour, so if you miss it, you may need to queue for another game.

When you reach the location, you’ll need to pull the sword from the ground. Be careful, though, because you can still take damage during the animation. Opponents can shoot you before you fully equip the blade, so make sure the area is clear first.

Reforged Infinity Blade Stats
Here is the damage that comes from all the movesets:
| Attack Type | Damage |
|---|---|
| Swing | 90 |
| Leap | 110 |
| Air Slam | 110 |
The Reforged Infinity Blade gives you three ways to deal damage. Your basic Swing hits for 90 damage up close. The Leap lets you jump toward an enemy and slam them for 110 damage, which is great for closing gaps fast. The Air Slam works best when you're already above someone and want to come crashing down for another 110.
The original Infinity Blade was overpowered in a way that felt unfair. It took up all five inventory slots, gave you a massive health and shield boost, and made matches feel one-sided. The Reforged version is far more balanced.
| Stat | Old Blade | Reforged Blade |
|---|---|---|
| Inventory Slots Used | 5 | 2 |
| Health and Shield | +100 each | +25 each |
| Leap Distance | Long | Nerfed |
| Air Slam Distance | Long | Nerfed |
| Sprint while equipped | No | Yes |
| Animation | Slower with cooldowns | Smoother, less cooldown |
The biggest change is the slot cost dropping from 5 to 2. You can carry other weapons alongside the blade now, which was never possible before. You're not giving up your entire loadout just to swing a sword.
The health and shield boost is also much smaller. Instead of getting a full +100 to both, you only get +25 each. So you are not walking around as an unkillable tank anymore.
Now, you can also sprint while holding the blade, which is new. Sprinting gives you a higher jump, too, so you can get the height needed to set up Air Slams more easily. Animations are smoother, and there's less cooldown between attacks, so fights feel more fluid.
Reforged Infinity Blade Power Hour Event
If you want the best chance at getting the Reforged Infinity Blade, this is your moment. Epic Games is running a special event called the Reforged Infinity Blade Power Hour this Saturday, May 3rd, 2026.

| Time Zone | Date and Time |
|---|---|
| Pacific (PT) | Saturday, May 3 - 12:30 PM and 6:30 PM |
| Eastern (ET) | Saturday, May 3 - 3:30 PM and 9:30 PM |
| Central Europe (CET) | Saturday, May 3 - 9:30 PM Sunday, May 4 - 3:30 AM |
| India (IST) | Sunday, May 4 - 1:00 AM Sunday, May 4 - 7:00 AM |
| Japan (JST) | Sunday, May 4 - 4:30 AM Sunday, May 4 - 10:30 AM |
| Australia (AEST) | Sunday, May 4 - 5:30 AM Sunday, May 4 - 11:30 AM |
During Power Hour, the Rift Anomaly is guaranteed to spawn in every match, so you don't have to rely on luck. On top of that, the Reforged Infinity Blade can also show up in regular loot at a low drop rate, which means it's not locked to just the Rift Anomaly during this event.
The event also comes with a blade buff. Swing damage is increased, and you get an extra speed boost while sprinting with the blade. So if you want to experience the Reforged Infinity Blade at its strongest, Power Hour is when you do it.
