Fortnite is going full Star Wars this May, and it is bigger than anything they have done before, even compared to the Galactic Battle season. We are not just talking about one limited-time event. Hundreds of Star Wars games are going live inside Fortnite, and new quests are dropping every single week with free rewards up for grabs. Let's check out what's happening in Fortnite Star Wars Games!

What's Actually Happening with Fortnite and Star Wars

For a while now, Epic has given developers tools to build their own games inside Fortnite using Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN). This time, Epic and Lucasfilm handed developers an official Star Wars toolkit packed with characters, planets, vehicles, and assets straight from the franchise.

The result is a massive wave of Star Wars islands, all going live starting Friday, May 1st, 2026. This is the first time Fortnite has become the home for this many Star Wars games at once.

Here is the full rundown of everything coming in this big collaboration:

1. Three Big Games from Epic and Lucasfilm

Three games are leading the launch, each made in partnership with a different creative studio:

2. Weekly Star Wars Quests and Free Rewards

Starting May 1st, new Star Wars quests roll out every week through the entire month. You can complete these quests in any Star Wars game on Fortnite, not just the three featured ones. So even if you find a smaller island you love, you can still work toward your rewards there.

3. The Mandalorian and Grogu Watch Party

This is probably the most unique thing happening all month. On Tuesday, May 19th, 2026, a special Watch Party Island goes live where you can watch a 10-minute sneak peek of the upcoming Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu film, which hits theaters on Friday, May 22nd.

The island itself is built around Nevarro, the city you explore in the show. You will get recruited as a Deputy, collect bounties, defend the city from enemy waves, and search for Grogu. If you finish spending 20 minutes exploring, you will be able to unlock the exclusive Mandalorian Sanctuary loading screen for free.

Then on Tuesday, May 26th, head back to the island's amphitheater for a Q&A with Jon Favreau, where he answers community questions about the film and the making of the Watch Party Island.

4. LEGO Fortnite Gets Star Wars Too

If you play LEGO Fortnite Odyssey, there is a separate update dropping on May 14th, with its own Star Wars content. You get the new Hover Brick, hover vehicles, plus Mando and Grogu in the game, and Star Wars enemies to fight. It is a nice bonus for LEGO mode players who want to stay in that world.

5. Free Back Bling

You can link your Epic Games Account with your MyDisney Account between now and October 31st, 2026, to get the free Carbonite Fishstick Back Bling. Just head to the official Fortnite Disney website to connect the two accounts.

6. Star Wars Skins and Shop Items

New and returning Star Wars outfits and items will be rotating through the Item Shop all month long. Expect classic characters and some fresh additions to show up throughout May, including the Clone Wars skins. So keep an eye on the shop daily if you want to grab specific looks.

This is one of the biggest Star Wars events Fortnite has ever done. Jump in on May 1, explore the islands, complete your weekly quests, and make sure you show up on May 19 for the Watch Party if you are a fan of The Mandalorian. May the force be with you!
