Disney and Epic are actively building something long-term together, and Toy Story definitely fits right into that plan. Buzz Lightyear, Zurg, Woody, and even the three-eyed Aliens are all reportedly on the way. Here's everything you need to know about how to get Toy Story skins in Fortnite and what's coming with them.
When Do the Toy Story Skins Come Out?
Epic has recently released the teaser announcement on April 9th, 2026, and the cosmetics will be dropped in the Item Shop on Friday, April 10th, 2026.
Buzz Lightyear and Zurg will likely be available first through the Buzz vs. Zurg Showdown Cup, where you can earn them early before they hit the Item Shop. The Alien Sidekick is expected to follow, though the exact timing for that is still unclear. Once the official reveal happens, Epic will likely share the full schedule.
How to Get Toy Story Skins in Fortnite
There are two ways to get the Toy Story skins, depending on which character you're going for.
- For Buzz Lightyear and Zurg, the early method is through the Showdown Cup. You join the tournament, rack up points by placing well in matches, and earn the skins before they go on sale. After the cup ends, both will move to the Item Shop for anyone who missed it.
- For the Alien Sidekick and possibly Woody, the Item Shop is likely your only route. The Alien is coming as a Sidekick, which is a companion cosmetic rather than a playable skin.
Here's how to grab them from the Item Shop once they're live:
- Open Fortnite and head to the Item Shop.
- Look for the Toy Story bundle or individual listings.
- Select the skin or bundle you want.
- Purchase it with V-Bucks.
Once you're done, go to your locker, and everything will be ready to equip.

Woody was part of the original insider leak, but his details are still encrypted. This isn't unusual for big collabs. Daenerys from Game of Thrones was encrypted right up until her official reveal. Woody is definitely coming, but it's just a matter of when the files open up.
With Disney and Epic's partnership still going strong, this is clearly just the beginning of Pixar making its way into Fortnite. Are you planning to grab Buzz, Zurg, or go all in on the full set?
