Stamps are one of the main progression systems in Forza Horizon 6 and are tied directly to the Discover Japan activities spread across the map. Unlocking higher Stamp ranks rewards players with Barn Finds, Houses, and exclusive locations, making them extremely important for exploration and overall progression. Here's how to unlock all stamps in Forza Horizon 6.
How to Earn Stamps in Forza Horizon 6
Players earn Stamps by gaining Discover Japan Points through various activities and exploration challenges across Japan.
Most Discover Japan points come from completing dedicated Discover Japan events, although some activities, like collecting cars and destroying Regional Mascots, also contribute towards progression.

Discover Japan Stamp Point Requirements

To unlock new Stamp ranks, players must continue earning Discover Japan Points through activities and exploration.
At the beginning of the game, progression happens naturally while exploring Japan, but later Stamp tiers require significantly more points and focused grinding.
| Stamp Rank | Total Points Required |
|---|---|
| Yellow - Visitor | 1,250 |
| Green - Sightseer | 2,500 |
| Blue - Traveller | 5,000 |
| Pink - Pathfinder | 8,000 |
| Orange - Navigator | 12,000 |
| Purple - Adventurer | 16,000 |
| Gold - Master Explorer | 20,000 |
Discover Japan Stamp Rewards

Most Discover Japan rewards unlock new Barn Finds and purchasable Houses across the map.
Unlike Horizon Festival rewards, these unlockables are not automatically claimed. Players still need to physically discover Barn Finds or purchase the unlocked Houses after reaching the required Stamp rank.
| Stamp Rank | Rewards |
|---|---|
| General | Barn Finds and Houses |
| Orange | Fuji Unkai House |
| Purple | Soko 78 |
| Gold | Vision House |
If you own the Premium Edition or VIP Membership, the Tokyo House is unlocked for free. However, players still need to drive to the location to officially claim it.
Best Ways to Unlock Stamps Fast
Get 3-Stars in Yellow Story Events

One of the fastest ways to earn Discover Japan Points is by completing Yellow Story Events with a 3-Star rating. These events are extremely efficient because the game provides a pre-built car for the challenge. This means players do not need to spend extra credits tuning or upgrading their own vehicles just to earn maximum points.
In most cases, earning 3-Star rewards around 300 Discover Japan Points, making Story Events one of the best early-game grinding methods.
Win Street and Touge Races

Street Races and Touge events are another excellent source of Discover Japan Points.
These races are slightly more difficult because players must rely on their own tuned vehicles instead of pre-built event cars. Having a properly upgraded car with good acceleration and handling becomes very important during later races.
Touge races especially reward players who can maintain speed (fastest car right now) through tight mountain roads and downhill sections.
Destroy Regional Mascots

Regional Mascots are one of the easiest ways to gain free Discover Japan Points while exploring the map.
Players can drive into mascots scattered across different regions to instantly collect points. Since these collectibles appear naturally during free roam, they are an excellent passive way to progress toward higher Stamp ranks without grinding dedicated events.
Always keep an eye out for mascots while driving between activities.
Collect More Cars

Expanding your car collection also contributes to Discover Japan's progression.
Unlocking and purchasing new vehicles rewards additional points while also giving players access to more race-ready cars for specific events and challenges. Certain races become much easier when players own specialized drift, Touge, or street racing builds (all street racing events).
This makes car collecting useful for both progression and gameplay flexibility.
Most Efficient Stamp Grinding Strategy
The fastest overall approach is to continuously complete Discover Japan events back-to-back while exploring nearby activities along the route.
For example, players can complete a Drift Club Japan event, drive toward a Touge race, destroy Regional Mascots on the way, and photograph nearby landmarks during travel. Combining multiple activities together dramatically speeds up Stamp progression compared to focusing on only one event type.
Yellow Story Events should remain the main priority early in the game because of their high point rewards and free event cars.
While buying Houses also gives Discover Japan Points, it is not recommended during the early game since most Houses are extremely expensive. Players are usually better off saving credits for faster cars, tuning upgrades, and race builds first.
Additional Tips for Faster Progression
Focus on Nearby Activities: Instead of fast traveling constantly, try completing multiple Discover Japan activities within the same region. This reduces travel time while helping players naturally discover collectibles and landmarks.
Use Drift-Friendly Cars Early: Several Discover Japan activities involve drifting and Touge racing. Building a reliable drift-focused car early can make progression much smoother across multiple event categories.
Explore During Day Trips: Mie’s Day Trips often take players through major regions filled with collectibles, mascots, and photography locations. These events are excellent opportunities to gain passive Discover Japan Points while progressing through story content.
Final Thoughts
Unlocking all Stamps in Forza Horizon 6 takes time, but focusing on Discover Japan activities, Yellow Story Events, and Regional Mascots can significantly speed up progression. Players who combine multiple activities during exploration will naturally earn points much faster than those grinding only a single event type.
